Members cnathanielrichardson
This montage must have been made before Will came out (DAYS OF OUR LIVES)
Members Cheap21
No it wasnt. Karen was the most recent thing on there and that happened months after Will
Members frequentsoapfan
Didn't Passions do the first lesbian love scene?
Members All My Shadows
Okay, this is kinda mind-boggling. They credited GH with Michael Delaney, credited ATWT with Zarf, and left Kyle/Oliver off the timeline (which I'm kinda okay with), but those are the most popular gay characters? I hated him more than I liked him, but they think Luke Snyder wasn't as popular as Maggie and Frankie?
Members Ryan Chamberlain
Delaney was an AMC character.
Members wingwalker
WTF is Kish not in that timeline at all? *sharpens pitchfork* I'd say their sex scene was quite a big deal.
Members Khan
If by "big deal" we mean "sleep-inducing"....
Members Quent
Frankie is listed as more popular than Luke? In what universe? And speaking of popular, where is Reid Oliver? lso, I thought Chris Bruno was out, so why isn't he listed along with Tom Bierdz, Joanna Johnson, etc? Members All My Shadows
Yeah, at the very least, they should have been on the timeline for their sex scene. Say what you will about it being tame, but it was definitely a groundbreaking moment.
Members DRW50
The whole thing just makes me feel sad. I've gone from resenting soaps for not having gay characters to hoping I never see a gay character on a soap again
Members frequentsoapfan
Why is that whole timeline basically Bianca? And she didn't have the first same sex marriage in daytime. Edna and Norma got married from what I remember(no matter how ridiculous it was)
Members Ms. Chandler Quartermaine
True! And they left out the first gay and lesbian love scene were both on Passions. Simone with some girl I don't remember, and Chad and Vincent.
Members Khan
But wasn't Vincent really Valerie? Or was it the other way around? I'm still so damn confused about that story.
Members frequentsoapfan
Yeah they never want to credit Passions Simone and her girlfriend Rae(who also count as an interracial couple). Does Vincent count as gay though since he was a hermaphrodite? Valerie used to be these driven black professional who was one of the few black workers at Crane until JER did too much acid and decided to turn her into Vincent during the final two years.
