Best Soap Opera Theme

I still can't believe Another World kept this sh!t until 1996. Even by 1989 this was dated as hell.

JFP's opening might not be to everyone's liking, but she had the right idea. There is no reason why this paintbox opening should have lasted until 1996. Neither NBC or PGP paid any attention to this show until it was canceled.

Visually, I really liked JFP's aw opening, but maybe it was a bit too choppy and edgy for AW and needed a more romantic theme.

So does Anna Stuart.

Wow, I had never seen that. I really like how some of the names are written vertically.

It felt too MTVish to me, which AW was not.

I like the concept behind this anmd think it could have worked with more profesional graphics

Totally agree with you. Until its SOAPnet airings I had no idea that theme even existed.

I really liked this one:

and I believe Port Charles was the first to add character names

THANK YOU! I thought it included names in the credits, but I just didn't feel like researching, lol.

I hated when ABC had the mandate to add character names to their classic (for the time at least) openings.

This just didn't mesh all that well for GH and OLTL especially.

but it was damn perfect on AMC! I thought it was genius to have the charaters sighn their names in the photo album especially since each had different handwriting. Seriously the living photo album has got to be the BEST concept for a show opening ever next to B&B's current fashion show opening

It helps that this opening was created specifically with that in mind instead of it being taked onto their existing one like GH and OLTL

Speaking of B&B' this idea was so original and genius. Perfection

I really liked ATWT's mid-2000's opening theme. It was so fresh and so clean.

The Children of the Corn opening...lol. I didnt know what the heck they were going for with that one, although I did enjoy the theme music

OMG! Hell no! Now that was my favorite theme!!!! I loved this show back in the day. It was my favorite soap at the time and possibly the only one I watched more than AMC, GH or OLTL. Ava was my girl!!! I loved when they went to the Disney MGM Studios back then.
