I had forgotten about the Days one. I didnt know an AW book had come out. Hmmmm....I thought of buying the ATWT and GL one but noticed there were the other ones too. I wish I had gotten them when they first came out in print.

The AW book came out in 1999...

The AMC coffee table book was the first one that was published. I never saw it in a used bookstore in all these years, or else I would have a copy. Some of the others are available in both paperback and hardcover.

I have the original AMC one that I got for Christmas the year it came out. I'm so glad I got the first printing. The second printing was on cheap paper which made the book a couple millimeters thicker. I also have the OLTL one. I wish that trend had taken off to the point that they'd issued ones of cancelled soaps. Would love to have one for Capitol.

Are we talking about the big coffee table books?

I have one for AMC, OLTL, GH, AW, Days, YR, BB, ATWT & GL. I have another book for Days as well as some random soap books. I bought them all at a used bookstore for $5 each. They had a ton of GL ones actually so I bought like 10 and sold them on ebay for $20/each years ago.

I really like them all. I think the AW one is the best though.

I think I have every soap's coffee table book, as well as the smaller trivia books for DAYS, AMC, GH, and Y&R, and any other DAYS book like the Tour Through Salem and the more recent one with nothing but photos. I got DAYS, B&B, and GL when they originally came out (1995, 1997, 1997), but got the rest of the coffee table books for cheap on eBay years ago.

I hate when I encounter typos and mis-information. Like in the GL book for cast info throughout the years, it lists Cynthia Watros joining in 1996 (should be 1994) and Kimberly J. Brown in 1995 (should be 1993). In the DAYS book, it lists Jed Allen twice, saying in one spot that he was on the show 1971-1985, and is listed again as 1975-1985. I'm sure there are other typos, but those are the ones that I remember sticking out in my mind.

I have all the books, the best ones are the AMC and OLTL books. And I also have a lot of soap books from the 70s, and I would like to read one day a book/ several books with the complete stories of all the soaps.

All the coffee table books haven't got complete storylines until the end.

I got these books in this order:

ATWT (It was my grandmother's first--she was a huge fan of the show, but she saw my interest in it and let me have it).

OLTL (So. much. love. for. this. book. wub.png )

GL

I got the AMC, GH, and Love, Honor and Cherish (which included weddings from AMC, OLTL and GH) books altogether for Christmas one year.

AW

And I got the DAYS trivia book, but got rid of it as the cover started to fall off, and I will always own my OLTL trivia book (gee, I wonder why? wink.png ).

And I just got the 1987 version of the Soap Opera Encyclopedia for my birthday this year.
