That's always an option. Jackie was signed on to reappear for Robin's funeral, but when TPTB decided Robin wouldn't really die, the funeral was toned down and Bobbie was written out.

Aww there is hope for Bobbie yet :)

This is a strange question but why are Edward, Mac, Olivia and Steve not in the new opening? Are they all recurring now? I haven't heard anything about them being bumped down. Thanks!

Well at least I know they CONSIDERED having Bobbie present at Robin's funeral. They still could've tried to make the funeral a little real though instead of having, what 4 people there we knew? I still wish Bobbie had appeared though, I miss her.

I'm dying to know what Leslie and Frank disagreed on. Either way, I hope they work it out because I really, really miss Monica and the Qs.

They're all still on contract, but supposedly ABC only wanted 2, instead of 3 openings. They've been compensated with episode guarantee increases.

Remember the scene where Jason goes to the Quartermaine Mansion on the day of the baby's funeral? Michael is there and comforts him and at the end they both go to the funeral. Well, that episode was filmed with Leslie, not Chad Duell. The press release was out, spoilers were out, and stills were out all including Jason & Monica. When Leslie turned the episode on, she was shocked and appalled to see Chad in the scenes and not her. They even used the exact same dialogue. Her & Frank got into a huge arguement over what had happened and she hasn't worked since.

Ugh. I don't blame her one bit. What an ass not to tell Leslie. And what was the need to replace her? Again, this just proves in no way that Valentini and Carlivati care about the show at all. Thanks for sharing that scoop by the way!

Ah, thanks for the info. Is it in actors' contracts that they have to be in the opening then? Do you know why they were chosen not to be included? Did they have the least number of episode guarantees or something? Do you know why Jen Lilley can be seen on the periphery of the opening but ultimately wasn't featured? I'm assuming Kirsten Storms returning had something to do with it? Thanks again for your information :)

Ah ok, thanks. :) Unrelated, do you know anything more about other OLTL actors they want to cross over or whether or not the excuse that Prospect Park is keeping a hold on the rights to the characters is true?

They're still saying that because of so many of the OLTL cast signing contracts with PP, they are unable to even cameo on GH. I find that a poor excuse since Kassie DePaiva, Michael Easton, & Florencia Lozano all signed with PP, yet also appear/appeared on GH. I'm personally less than content with the amount of OLTL on GH. Roger Howarth has been in all but two episodes this month. That's way too much for someone who's a newbie.

I agree that's overexposure. Are you saying FV is flat out lying and there are no issues with PP? I think one of the rumors was that PP was "releasing" three characters at a time, which is how ME, KdP and FL were able to be used.

I'm not saying he's lying, I just think that there's a lot more to the story. I believe that if an OLTL was approached and declined joining GH, than Frank should be open about it. Don't blame it on PP.

Here's the ABC description about the June 18th episode from the official website with the cut Monica content. It mentions Edward, I'm assuming he was dropped due to John's health? I wonder why they changed the scenes around - just so they could have the little speech about Jason holding Michael as a baby?

"The Davis women gather today to memorialize Sam's baby. Jason gets support from Monica as Edward, Michael, Carly, and a surprising guest pay their respects. Later, Jason arrives at the burial ground."

Ah so perhaps Melissa Archer just doesn't want to come aboard? ;) I could see them trying to get Ted King and he declined.

Ingle was supposed to return to work in April and be back onscreen in May, but like I said before, his illness was greatly exaggerated and they wrote him out without even speaking to him.

I really don't think Melissa wants to join GH just to see her character humiliated and left by McBain. And as far as Ted King is concerned, it's very unpredictable. He was open to returning to GH until Frank & Ron took over, which certainely raises my eyebrow.

    • I loved watching Shanice hand Leslie her ass and finally shutting her up. It was so good. I also love Martin & Smitty's family.  Anita has to have some sort of plan giving Leslie the tickets to mail for Winterfest. She has to be setting her up for a fall. It's pretty obvious to me Vernon is not cheating with Sharon. I think Sharon is helping him with his terrible singing voice for Winterfest. I still believe Bill & Dani are endgame but I love Dani & Andre too. I am definitely enjoying this story. And making Hayley a black widow is a nice twist.
    • Sorry for the spam. Wasn't sure where to put this, it's from Tony Geary's husband's IG. Tony watching Genie and Maurice on Mo's show.
    • This show is really trundling along BTW. When is someone going to show up to slit Beastmaster's throat or crack the whip on metrosexual Sidwell? (BTW, openly presenting this cheery bon vivant as casually bisexual would at least be something vaguely diverting.) At least kill Brennan by year's end. I'm bored.
    • She told Vanessa to "DOUBLE her offer" on the Jarvis house.  The Jarvis family accepted the doubled price.  Assuming the house has an appraised value of $2,000,000, she's theoretically paid the Jarvis family $4,000,000 for the house.  The bank would loan Leslie 80% of the appraised value ($1,600,000), and Leslie had to pay the balance with cash at closing --- $2,200,000.  She only had ONE million.  Where the hell did she get the rest?!  And now she's got contractors working on the house all day & half the night.  Who's paying THEM?  I keep thinking all this will crash around her.  Either that or the writers have absolutely no idea the limits of a million dollars.  Sounds like a "lot of money", but it obviously ain't when we look at Leslie's spending since she got that million dollar check in August.

    • Vernon is an idiot. Why would he have Sharon in the same hotel that Leslie is staying at?
    • Yes, that out of the blue return was odd. Maybe GG found a forgotten clause in the contract he signed when he was wooed to ABC and they were forced to take him back! Like George Reinholt he talked about the contract that promised him primetime roles. But it was loaded in the networks favor. I think it was Gloria Loring that re-signed at Days on the promise of primetime opportunities, but that was all it was- she was put up for guest spots and TV movies but not necessarily guaranteed that she get the role.
    • I still am baffled by why Monty brought back stunt hire Gerald Gordon in the early '80s out of nowhere for like a year. I haven't found anyone who can come up with a thing he did in that second stint of note.
    • It's interesting to watch this having watched The Doctors. I'm not sure I'm seeing that much of a difference in the characters Gerald Gordon and Anna Stuart played on The Doctors and what they're playing here.
    • I keep forgetting a huge chunk of that year was written by scabs. You're probably right, because by the time the strike was over, they were likely planning an exit for Alan's character as it must have been obvious by then that Bernau was not going to return. If he was still there, it's also doubtful they would have approached MZ and MG about coming back. Wild.
