I didn't know Ron even knew Molly and TJ existed...there was actual promise there under GW. It was actually one of his only stories I enjoyed.

Didn't RC write that party they got grounded for?

I don't know why they are bringing out teen crap again. Kristina is almost 20, Starr and Michael are about 21, Molly is 14 though HP is 13 and TJ is 14. Last thing I need is 14 year olds having sex. Most teens don't even start having sex until 16/17.

bc its nearly summer and school is out.

So? The teens do not watch soaps in droves. The storylines for the teen characters don't appeal to them and most are on their twitters/facebook or different apps or out doing something. They aren't watching lame GH

I really don't have anything against Ron Calivarti, but I question his choices with the Johnny character. Johnny knew that Connie/Kate was batshit crazy, yet he still slept with her and Sonny caught them. Johnny got what he wanted. Now, a couple of weeks later, he's walking around town on a redemption tour all sad and angsty and trying to get Sonny to forgive Connie/Kate and giving bracelets to Carly. So what was the point of any of the last couple of weeks? Now the Johnny character is tainted in the eyes of some of the show's fans for sleeping with Connie/Kate and the big revenge plan just peters out with no real consequences for Sonny.

I think it's mostly just to eventually set up a Who Killed Johnny story. And also to make sure we remember who our real heroes are.

if that were the case then they would have kept him villian-like and unapologetic of his actions and not going this redemptive route with having him trying to fix things and and make peace for those he hurt

So you asked a question and the answer was obvious. You may not like it but its Soap 101. They usually tend to bring the teens out of the closet when summer is about to hit. Its why Y&R just did a round of SORASing for their kids and why GH is bringing theirs back. This is how things have operated for years across the board

Besides CarJohn being totally disturbing for me, I agree 300%. What was all of this about?! The only thing I can think of is Connie is with child. All of the crap that took was for no purpose, really. Perhaps it was just filler until Todd got here.

Sonny and Johnny's war has got to be the lamest mob activity I've ever seen. These 2 have been pussyfooting around each other for years and this is the way it ends?! RIDICULOUS!

My guess is Johnny's Redemption Tour (love that) will work until Connie's pregnancy is revealed.

Y&R did not do a round of sorasing to try and get the teen audience. They did it for more plot points for the parents. That's exactly what they did before.

He basically just goes to Carly and is told to back off. He is also the heavy with the stolen organs story and with Starr.

That bled into his first week, but it was written out before he got there. Maybe like a couple of RC's first aired shows after the party, Molly, TJ and Shawn all disappeared. Molly showed up the day of Robin's funeral, but disappeared again for weeks.

and its happening right as summer is coming. Hmmm.... Dont act like soaps dont tend to bring teens on for the summer. Like I said this is how things have been for years.

Okay? I still dont see why trying to fix things between Kate and Sonny is supposed to gear him up to be killed

You must not have watched the past few years of Y&R they could care less about gaining the teen audience the way they rushed through soras. And I'm allowed to express the fact that it's pointless bringing out the teens when teens don't wath the show

No I havent been watching it but I used it as an example bc there are so few soaps left on daytime to draw from. Days still has the same teen set they created a few years ago and B&B too small to sustain any at the moment. BUT the point of my post wasnt to focus on Y&R. Its soaps in general and again late spring/summer is when the teen stuff tends to occur and kick into high gear. Its what happened with GH the last go when Sonny's kids were SORASED. Before that the Dillon/Georgie crew and before that Lucky/Liz/Nik/Sarah, etc....

And sorasing Sonny's kids was a fail despite them gonig as far as doing a teen mag interview. The teens don't watch soaps and if they do watch them want to see the adults. These kids will probably get more airtime than the adults some of us actually want to see.
