Anyone else remember when Jensen first showed up on the show and there were rumors that Eric was going to be gay?

Good times.

A young studly male who's the son of a legacy character and he turns out to be gay... in 1997. Now *that* would've been cutting edge! And DAYS was still enjoying numbers in the 6.0's with a huge young demographic following. Wonder how that would've turned out had they gone the gay route.

I wish he'd never left Y&R so I wouldn't have been subjected to Michael Muhney. He'd be a nice addition to DAYS since he's an actor who underplays in a good way.

I loved him on Y&R. But Days can't write well for understated performers so he'd likely suffer there. He's most definitely potential lead caliber for Days IF they could write for him.

I don't think any of the soaps write well for understated actors. Welll maybe Y&R ocassionally. But DAYS and GH sure can't and I don't recall B&B ever being understated in acting terms.

He's not showy or hammy or OTT but then neither are Shawn Christian or Galen. I do think Engen is a far better actor than either of those 2 but I do know the soap "press"(if u want to call them that) hates him.

Shawn Christian and Galen Gering just can't act! They suck so bad. Galen is just there onscreen and is cringe worthy.

I think this has to be a smokescreen for a recast.
