Telenovellas look better than current GH and the Cartini lovers chose to ignore the bad production making all sorts of excuses for it.

Outside of the minimum wage production costs, there's not much to say about GH! It looked like a Telenovella. The lighting was horrible and the cameras were poorly positioned. I wanted to see Carly and Uncle Luke, but after one scene, had to change the channel.

I hate Cartini so damn much!

Regaining composure... But, I agree with you. This just doesn't feel anything like this show. I'm waiting... hoping... reeeeeally wishing this team has something remotely appealing lined up for sweeps next month. However, I'm afraid it's going to be more of the same...

I still would like to know how this show will explain Connie's existence. I won't say it's a proven medical fact that DID results from childhood sexual abuse, but I doubt reluctantly loving someone who is involved in the "coffee export" business triggers it.

They attempted to say it isn't necessarily about being involved with a "coffee importer" as much as the traumatic events that have happened to her WHILE being involved with a "coffee importer." The show is saying that Kate getting shot twice, witnessing Michael getting shot in the head and seeing Sonny repeatedly shot has caused her to develop Connie in order to deal with the psychological turmoil surviving those events put her through. Connie's dealing with the things Kate Howard -- at least the image -- can't allow herself to. Feelings of self doubt, fear and, of course, being with a "coffee importer." Kate's in love with 1980s Bensonhearst Sonny, but terrified of 2012 Port Charles Sonny and his life. So, in order to reconcile that conflict, her psyche developed Connie.

It's a goddamn stretch, but that's their story and they're sticking to it... that is, until they rewrite it again.

All of the telenovelas I watch are better produced, better written and for the most part better acted than GH is now. I don't think Kate/Connie would have been shown on a telenovela.

That Connie/Kate explanation is ludicrous, which is why I'm positive that's Cartini's intent. They thrive on nonsensical horse chit!

As for Johnny/Ford. Sexing up a woman you know is mentally unable to consent is foul! No excuse and not something Johnny would do. I'm not sure what's going down but Johnny would not go there. He had always managed to keep woman and children out of his battle with Sonny. Not Johnny at all!

Im not so sure. He was sleeping with Lisa and she clearly was off her rocker. He was able to blackmail, use and manipulate her and it didnt matter to him even though she was psychotic. What he is doing with Connie isnt too far off and actualyl seems consistent with Johnny's character

I don't agree about Johnny as he's not the poster boy for mental health. There was never a question about who Lisa was so you had 2 crazies having sex. Kate does not want Johnny, and he knows it. She cannot consent. However, it's poor storytelling because when you think about it, Johnny really is sexing up Connie!

Johnny is a Zacchara. With Anthony and Claudia in his family, Lisa and Connie/Kate probably don't seem all that abnormal.

Johnny has never been crazy, nor does that matter. The issue is would Johnny sleep with a woman that is mentally ill? He is not above that. He isnt one who's morals end at sexing up an unstable woman. His current focus in on hurting Sonny. His actions yesterday were purely fuled by that. Connie presented him with an oppurtunity to go after Sonny, and he took it bc of the rage he was feeling. Thats fairly consistent with Johnny as a character. Alot of people here dont see it as rape and Johnny probably doesnt either.Heck the writers most likely didnt when they wrote it. Johnny is rationalizing it as Connie is the one that kept coming onto him and he told Sonny about it (which he refused to listen) so in a way he probably feels that absolves him from anything

I guess we will have to wait to see what the show does but I guess theres still a chance they didnt have sex and only made it look like it happened

This whole entire story is insulting. Even if Kate did have some longstanding history with DID, this idea that her alter is coming out all because she wants to break up with her boyfriend is asinine.
