February 23, 201214 yr Member You know, you're always an arrogant idiot. I've met Peter Simon and his wife Courtney and they have been married for over 30 years and love each other and are THE most kindest people. So, to answer your ignorant question, Courtney Sherman would find Peter Simon 'hot' and marry him, and they are still together. They have had a wonderful life together, thank you. There is no need for name calling. I just stated my opinion on what I found hot and what I didnt and why someone would or would not marry find someone hot. Dragonflies replied with some humor. Your posts toward me have always been nasty. i have never given you any reason to be nasty towards me. Not the clearest pic of Peter, but he was a lot cuter in the early 70's 125] Yes, he looks much hotter in this pic. Too bad you can only see a side view of him. He was 42 when he first started on GL. He is featured on the ATWT DVD release and looks the same in 79. This must be from 69 when he first started on SFT. He would have been 27 in this picture. Edited February 23, 201214 yr by Soapsuds
February 23, 201214 yr Member Well I thought Peter Simon was cute when he returned to GL in the 2000s and he's old enough to be my granddad so we all like different things.

February 25, 201214 yr Member I give Peter Simon credit for keeping himself fit and youthful-looking throughout the years. He must've been blessed with good genes.
February 25, 201214 yr Member soapsuds, some time back I put some photos in the Searfh for Tomorrow thread which had Peter Simon and his love interest at the time (on the show) ice skating. He looked pretty good there. I think he's one of those guys who looked older than his years but didn't age that much as others did.
February 26, 201214 yr Member I've always found Peter Simon very soulful and attractive, even with that giant bald spot. Who gives a [!@#$%^&*]? The DePaivas have done well. Beth Ehlers, OTOH, appears to have tried to seduce half the cast of Guiding Light. That Robert Bogue debacle was just embarrassing. I didn't realize Frank Grillo and Wendy Moniz were happy together. That's lovely. He's fantastic in The Grey and looks poised to become a much bigger star as a character actor off of that; she does a lot of primetime and is still just beautiful. Had the soaps more of a future she could easily snag a contract role somewhere too, IMO.
February 26, 201214 yr Member Eva LaRue left John O'Hurley for John Callahan. Kind of ironic that she and her ex were both on AMC again in the final week. Charles Frank (ex Jeff Martin) left his wife for Susan Blanchard, who played his character's wife, Mary Kennicott. I think she may have been involved with someone else as well. They married in the late 70s and are still together. Yikes. To me, both John O'Hurley and John Callahan are good looking, but I'd bang John O'Hurley ten times before John Callahan. Eva, you and your push up bra downgraded!
February 26, 201214 yr Member Ever since DWTS I've found John O'Hurley to be very smug and hollow, although I have never been much of a fan of ELR or Callahan either.

He's also another of those actors whose career wasn't affected by nude photos (Josh Duhamel being another), so when people make a big deal about that type of thing being a career killer, I roll my eyes.
February 26, 201214 yr Member Beth Ehlers, OTOH, appears to have tried to seduce half the cast of Guiding Light. That Robert Bogue debacle was just embarrassing. She sure seemed to have a thing for anyone playing Mallet, that's for sure. Based on the timing, I've always wondered if knowing that Bogue left his wife for Mandy Bruno, that they were about to go public with their relationship in May 2008, and were getting paired up on the show too is what really drove BE to AMC and not necessarily missing "her Ricky" so much that she couldn't go on at GL without him. The Peapack experiment played a part too, she wanted to work in Manhattan full time since that's where she lived, but maybe there was more.
February 26, 201214 yr Member On the one hand, I felt (and still feel) awful for BE, since the details of that whole, erm, affair were common knowledge among soap fans and the industry alike. At the very least, that had to have been an awkward and embarrassing situation for her. Yet, OTOH, well, you reap what you sow. *shrugs*

February 26, 201214 yr Member The link is at the top of the page. Don Hastings (Bob Hughes ATWT) broke up with his wife of several decades in 1980 or so, and married Leslie Denniston, who had played on ATWT in 1979.
