I'll go first:

B&B

- While not perfect, the show is currently in the best shape it's been in since 2003.

Y&R

- Genie Francis is terrific as Genevieve Atkinson. I know she wasn't well liked in her first few months on her show, but I'm currently watching June 2011 episodes and I LOVE her campy take on the character, despite the overall wretchedness of the storyline. Although I never saw Francis on GH, so I don't have that to compare it to. I'd love to see her on B&B in a Sally Spectra/Jackie Marone type role.

- Phyllis is one of very few characters to actually flourish under MAB (save for the Lucy custody madness). And of course, I still consider La Stafford to be the best actress in daytime.

- Maura West was AT LEAST as miscast as Diane as Shari Shattuck was as Ashley.

Since when was Dante ever in his 30s? Look at his mother for goodness sakes she looks in her late 30s. He was brought on specifically to pair with LuLu who in herself is the biggest chemistry void on GH over the last 15 years. He's an unremarkable actor and character with no charisma.

Looks like I'm in a minority again, because while DZ doesn't knock my socks off, he's steady, dependable, and gets the job done. I think he has a purpose on this specifically for that reason.

As for Lulu? I could never figure out if it was really about the acting or the shitty way that she's been written that made her character a fail for me.

Held 14 people hostage when trying to find Georgie's killer. He used his sexual abuse and faked DID to get him off and then skipped town when he was found out

Shot RJ when he came back to town to get Tea

Set a bomb off at the LPD in order to steal evidence

Gave Jack away and told Blair he was dead

Kidnapped Sam

Killed Irene

He didnt go to jail for any of that and has gone out of his way to either blame other people, lie and/or find a way around the law so he woulndt have to pay. And there's plenty of other stuff. These are just some of the more prevalent items i can think of.

Are you sure? Johnny was 30 at the time Kristina was using him to make Sonny jealous and I recall Dante being mentioned as being ~26 or 27

Why on earth do those years not count? If that's the case we can turn the clock back on GH 15 years when Sonny was actually viewed and written as scum.

They don't count because that those were the years of Victor/Frodd and I don't count his fuckery as a part of Todd's.

As for turning back the clock on GH 15 years, that sounds like a plan to me - as it would surely make a world of difference.

Did he? Because I see all of those resulting in him being nearly universally hated by everyone in town, save for certain members of his family. That's a big difference between having the entire town forced to kiss your ass and extol all your wonderful virtues.

I wish B&B had killed Eric off ten years ago.

Do you think it would have had a positive change or they could have gotten story out of it. Otherwise IA he really hasn't served a purpose in years and I'm not a fan of this so called grand love story now with he and Stephanie. But he could have just left town.

I think if he'd died around the time of the Massimo story it would have had much higher stakes and helped explain more of the bizarre gorgon woman Stephanie has become over the last decade. The character has always been a weak point of B&B's "core", IMO, and I just do not in any way buy the Eric/Stephanie relationship.

Yes I'm sure because at that time they aged Johnny up to 30(same age as BB at the time) and went with it for the next year. And Olivia said Johnny and Dante are the same age. And neither are passing for under 30 anyway so fans just accepted it.

If folks were bending over backwards to make sure that Todd would never do jail time because "he is good and pure of heart" or "he loves his kids", he most certainly would be as reviled as they are.

I think both characters are written more as victims than bad guys but people did hate Sonny but those people tended to be the shows resident losers like the Quartermaines, Ric, Jax, Scott, and recast Lucky
