Members ReddFoxx
Very true. There are some singers now that can really sing and get some attention, but the record sales are just not there. Most real singers have to accept that they will only achieve minimum success at most.

Members Y&RWorldTurner
The UK/European version is vastly superior to the crap that was released in the US.
Members Soapsuds
That's the version I have the import one. I bought it on Amazon. I did notice the US version wasn't as good as the import one. Edited February 12, 2012 by Soapsuds
Members Max
I agree with everything written above. Here are Houston's eleven #1 hits: "Saving All My Love for You" (1985, 1 week) "How Will I Know" (1986, 2 weeks) "Greatest Love of All" (1986, 3 weeks) "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)" (1987, 2 weeks) "Didn't We Almost Have It All" (1987, 2 weeks) "So Emotional" (1988, 1 week) "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" (1988, 2 weeks) "I'm Your Baby Tonight" (1990, 1 week) "All the Man That I Need" (1991, 2 weeks) "I Will Always Love You" (1992, 14 weeks) [This song's reign at #1 continued into 1993.] "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)" (1995, 1 week) [This tune also spent a record 11 weeks at #2.]
Members Y&RWorldTurner
Only Madonna and Mariah have more number one singles in the rock era among solo women than Whitney. 7 of Whitney's #1 hits were consecutive, which is a record she holds to this day. Members dragonflies
I truly mean no disrespect, but I had to mute it when Al Sharpton started talking, I truly cannot stand that guy Whitney was the singer of my teen years, her Madonna & others were what made the 80's great

Members DRW50
Thanks for all these Whitney songs I'd never heard of, Y&RWT. All the power ballads wear thin after a while but Miracle is a beautiful song. Jennifer sang a Whitney song on her first American Idol appearance (or one of her first), so this is fitting.
