I think the two DHs have a natural connection, but this becomes awful when they are mostly in scenes together, gasping and all the rest. I think both work best when they have their own lives. It's too bad they seem to have no idea what to do with John.

One of the few things that I am loving about Days lately is how they are writing Marlena. She is being used well in a supporting role and Dee shines without Drake. Judging by their lack of scenes together lately, maybe the writers are realizing this too.

I've just watched some clips of Dylan Patton as Will Horton, and he is vastly superior to Chandler Massey. I wonder why he was replaced? Maybe he didn't want to do a gay storyline?

He was universally thought to be bad, as he was.

The show was planning a dramatic storyline involving Maggie, Will and Lucas but then Bryan got himself fired and it was dropped, but thats why they recasted. They needed someone who could be better at dramatic scenes.

Dee and Marlena have been much better without Drake and John for a very long time now. I knew when they brough him back from the dead a few years ago after killing him off she would be leaving with him shortly.

I thought Dylan was OK. I preferred Will as low-key with some potential for drama to the forced melodrama of today. Hes not a character, he's a plot point. I also have more and more of an issue with "seeing" a character, and not just seeing Chandler Massey make faces.
