I HATED early Blair under Kassie. I rooted for Luna over her. There is one memorable scene where Blair tried to slap her and Luna caught her hand and slapped her instead! Loved Luna in that moment. I dont think I cared at all for Blair till DBL

Don't get me wrong, Marty's rape storyline was brilliant, as was the Viki, Niki, et al ( upcoming episode from 1995). I adored Alex and Carlo, thought Sloan Carpenter was Viki's BEST match in the history of OLTL- but just as much about the show was completely boring. The show never reinvented the wheel as it hoped and alot of the show doesn't hold up. But, the writing was highly literate, intelligent, and the show looked outstanding. I respect OLTL from 92-95, but don't really adore it like Rauch's era

As you see Karen's eyes were completly dry. Terrible.

And Krista Tesreau was WORSE. Quite a feat.

Rebecca but she was no where near as boring. I loved her with Todd and considered her his first love. Too bad they didnt move forward with them.

That woman was his wife Sheila Price

LOL...Passante's name is listed in the credits

Next episode should be much more exciting

There goes bimbo Tina!

She can only be in the next one if she is. She died in August 1995, and she wasn't in the T&B episode as a ghost. So unless her ghost appears in the December 1995 one, this is it for her today.

To which I say:

    • I usually don't want Tide placement in the middle of an intense sad scene, but this is an interesting point

    • My own personal ranking of this year's contestants: Greece Luxembourg Latvia France Sweden Italy Switzerland Spain Albania Iceland Austria Israel Estonia United Kingdom The Netherlands Denmark Germany Armenia Norway The Ukraine San Marino Poland Finland Lithuania Portugal Malta
    • BTG joke immediately followed by an AMC joke (same context)
    • Thanks!   Was anyone watching during this time? Wondering how Peggy’s rape played out onscreen. It just seems cruel to subject the Brooks family to this trauma a 2nd time.   Feels like the writers have already given up on the character of Jennifer, even though she sticks around another year-plus. She should be a passionate and fierce protective mother, but instead she seems just reactionary (and not even mentioned in this recap) This was also the case in ‘73 when Chris was raped. The writers are definitely more invested Stuart as the Brooks parent.
    • BTG got another SNL reference at 00:50  CONTEXT (so it isn't misconstrued) in this joke swap segment, Michael Che frequently makes his white cohost Colin Jost read racist jokes written by Che.

    • It's obvious that Israel's presence is a major divisive issue, and this is something that the EBU needs to deal with. According to the now published results Israel got 13 out of a possible 19 max points in the semi-final, and while their song isn't bad there's no way they would get those numbers without some kind of manipulation/political voting. They are clearly using this contest as a way of improving their somewhat tarnished reputation. I know that some people are comparing this to the massive sympathy votes that Ukraine gets and which propelled them to victory in 2022, but I feel that that was a more genuine show of support than this concerted effort from Israel to influence the televoting. I even had an ad on Youtube from Israel in Swedish(!) asking for votes! It might not be against any rules, but it feels a bit icky nonetheless.
    • Yeah, as you wrote, an Israeli win would have been a political disaster. Congratulations to Austria. 0 points from the televoting to Switzerland was a disgrace. Other than that, I really enjoyed the show ... but I'm also glad that Eurovision season is over

    • Hahaha Sorry if I was too negative, I just started typing and typing once I got going hahaha
    • @dc11786 Thanks for taking time to answer my various questions, along with giving your thoughts on the different writing teams. I wonder why they didn't just have Ryder and TR leave together if Jane was going anyway. The discussions over the last few pages have made me more interested in watching these episodes than I have been over the years - without the extra details and analyses provided, these years can be difficult to decipher (not helped by how often Jo seems like a side character).
    • I didn't think this was very good (I've never yet seen a good episode of this revival), but you do get a lot of Michael Stroka. And if you are a Donna Reed Show fan, you also get Paul Petersen.
