Karen Witter? NO thank you. That chick couldn't cry for [!@#$%^&*] either. The worst fake crier in the history of daytime. She was horrible.

And Luna? Just die already. Where is Blair? Hey Blair, run this new age annoying hillbilly down already! Malone and Gottlieb were so impressed with themselves, and that is what makes this era particularly cloying. It was pretty damn boring with some REALLY annoying characters like Luna, and some particularly weak and boring male characters.

Well they arent showcasing her much or at all in this episode so far. She was a great replacement for AE. Not as good as the original but good enough. She helped mature the character forward while still being Tina. I thought she had alot of charisma and chemistry with her costars

IDA. Malone's OLTL in the mid 90s was the last time OLTL was truly great. These next batch of OLTL are the show at its high point before its slow decline

Who did Al just refer to as his uncle that he wanted Larry to give that pin to?

Luna is SOOOOO f---ing annoying!

Blair was still trying to get surgery to switch from being Asian to white laugh.png.

Seriously, though, Kassie debuted as Blair on December 17th, 1993. Blair was living in Miami Beach and running a jewelry store in a hotel.

But run her over? Give her about a year!

Do you guys remember there was some scuttlebutt about a One Life to Live actress blocking some episodes where she appeared from being shown on A Daytime to Remember? I wonder who this was and I wonder if this was at all true because what actress has such power?

    • I usually don't want Tide placement in the middle of an intense sad scene, but this is an interesting point

    • My own personal ranking of this year's contestants: Greece Luxembourg Latvia France Sweden Italy Switzerland Spain Albania Iceland Austria Israel Estonia United Kingdom The Netherlands Denmark Germany Armenia Norway The Ukraine San Marino Poland Finland Lithuania Portugal Malta
    • BTG joke immediately followed by an AMC joke (same context)
    • Thanks!   Was anyone watching during this time? Wondering how Peggy’s rape played out onscreen. It just seems cruel to subject the Brooks family to this trauma a 2nd time.   Feels like the writers have already given up on the character of Jennifer, even though she sticks around another year-plus. She should be a passionate and fierce protective mother, but instead she seems just reactionary (and not even mentioned in this recap) This was also the case in ‘73 when Chris was raped. The writers are definitely more invested Stuart as the Brooks parent.
    • BTG got another SNL reference at 00:50  CONTEXT (so it isn't misconstrued) in this joke swap segment, Michael Che frequently makes his white cohost Colin Jost read racist jokes written by Che.

    • It's obvious that Israel's presence is a major divisive issue, and this is something that the EBU needs to deal with. According to the now published results Israel got 13 out of a possible 19 max points in the semi-final, and while their song isn't bad there's no way they would get those numbers without some kind of manipulation/political voting. They are clearly using this contest as a way of improving their somewhat tarnished reputation. I know that some people are comparing this to the massive sympathy votes that Ukraine gets and which propelled them to victory in 2022, but I feel that that was a more genuine show of support than this concerted effort from Israel to influence the televoting. I even had an ad on Youtube from Israel in Swedish(!) asking for votes! It might not be against any rules, but it feels a bit icky nonetheless.
    • Yeah, as you wrote, an Israeli win would have been a political disaster. Congratulations to Austria. 0 points from the televoting to Switzerland was a disgrace. Other than that, I really enjoyed the show ... but I'm also glad that Eurovision season is over

    • Hahaha Sorry if I was too negative, I just started typing and typing once I got going hahaha
    • @dc11786 Thanks for taking time to answer my various questions, along with giving your thoughts on the different writing teams. I wonder why they didn't just have Ryder and TR leave together if Jane was going anyway. The discussions over the last few pages have made me more interested in watching these episodes than I have been over the years - without the extra details and analyses provided, these years can be difficult to decipher (not helped by how often Jo seems like a side character).
    • I didn't think this was very good (I've never yet seen a good episode of this revival), but you do get a lot of Michael Stroka. And if you are a Donna Reed Show fan, you also get Paul Petersen.
