I hesitate adding this, since I never watched it, but I do feel Mac/Rachel/Iris on ANOTHER WORLD was an interesting variation on the tried-and-true love triangle. Instead of two women vying for one man's romantic affections, you had a daughter (Iris) in constant competition with her stepmother (Rachel), who was roughly the same age as she, for the attentions of her father (Mac). Whenever you have a more traditional love triangle, I think you always run the risk either of stories becoming repetitive, or of the heavy becoming too over-the-top and unbelievable in his-or-her actions. However, with Mac/Rachel/Iris's situation, you had a fertile playing ground that yielded years of interesting stories, because it was never that simple just for Mac to stop loving Iris or remove her from his life entirely.

Very well put. I wanted to put this one too but also didn't because I've only seen a handful. Such awesome stuff though, I've seen so few episodes but they made quite an impression.

Carl, I also loved the Loving murder mystery, one of the greatest soap denouements ever.

AMC:

1) Phantom Erica and the David/Erica love story that came from it.

2) The fallout from Bianca's rape. The direct aftermath and the pulling together the WHOLE town after it, was pure brilliance by Megan McTavish. To bad the bitch lost her mind after that.

3) Adam and Liza the first few years, what 1998/99-2001 or so.

4) The Erica/Vanessa connection. AMC wrote it from day one that something happened in the bast between the two, and we just had to wait to find out what.

5) Bianca and Marissa, what can I say I loved them.

Honorable mention to:

Angie and Jesse being reunited. I never got to see them before he died, so that was such a nice treat.

Kendall and Aidan...to bad she was sacrificed at Zach's altar.

Erica and Dimitri, the first two times around. That last one was horrid.

Leo's father storyline, though it got drug out way to far. I still to this day believe without a shadow of a doubt he was going to be Eric Kane's son.

I loved the Jack and Anna tease in like 2002. They had so much chemistry, and the drama that would have come from that.

AMC I think my favorite story was Ross raping Natalie. It was just so great the way the Entire Corltandt clan was blown apart.

Jenny and Greg, with Liza trying to break them up.

Natalie/Janet in the well

Adam buying and losing Channel 5/taking Dixie's son

Who killed Zach Grayson?

Langley and Verla

My top DAYS faves:

2. Lady In A Cage, summer 1996

3. The Possession, late 1994-July 1995

4. Carrie/Austin/Sami, 1995-1997

5. Bo & Hope find their way back together, late-1995 thru the end of 1996

Sadly, I don't think she was nominated.

Too bad Fulton wasnt nominated, that was the best acting I have ever seen from her, and so nice to see Lisa be something then a stuttering, flitting busybody.

The camera work during the Hans scene, they seemed so fluid, were those hand held cameras (Wheeler THAT is how its done.)

Best part of all, of course, was when Bob came in at the end and comforted Lisa. So much history in a simple pat on the shoulder.

Damn you, CBS.

1. The early/mid-'90s Lord saga (Lord of the Banner/Dorian on death row/Irene's diary/Viki's DID)

2. Kendall is Erica's daughter (Richard Fields, et cetera)

3. Natalie in the well

4. Stone's AIDS and Monica's breast cancer

5. Erica/Silver/Goldie/Dr. Lazarre (really enjoyed this as a kid)

LOVE all of these

LOVE all of these

I really thought Leslie Charleson was going to get (and deserved) the Emmy that year. I think Erika Slezak's win was a year too early, Leslie deserved it that year. (And Erika got it again the next.)

IA, I've had a love/hate with Lisa over the years. But each and every time I see a clip of Eileen's early work, I'm mesmerized. This was downright moving and I floved the slow and steady swell of music at the end. I teared up...
