I wasn't watching at the time, but my understanding is that they played opposite each other for 5 years, from 98-03. And I think David was the one who played Christian the first time that he and Jessica slept together. He was also playing Christian when Jessica was pregnant with Megan, the baby she miscarried (fathered by Will Rappaport).

So she was nobody? Lol I actually felt positive she would be Sarah.

Frankly, OLTL would have been better off pushing this back until the last (ABC) episode.

If you want ET back on the show permanently, but getting rid of BW to bring her back as Jessica is out of the question, then just do what GH did w/ Sarah Brown (and DAYS did w/ Tamara Braun) and bring her back as another, unrelated character. She could've easily been a former classmate of Gigi and Rex's who comes to Llanview when she learns her best friend has died; and then Viki could've taken her under her wing like she did with Tina BITD.

That sounds right. I always found David paired with Erin who looks like the eternal (young) teenager an odd fit. I did like her with the VERY different first Christian. (My sister watched back then and I remember, despite the fact that David is much more model good looking, she was horrified by the recast, lol) I never had all that much invested in either Christian, though I grew to like David even with his lack of any major acting passion and the show's inablity to really pair him up for long or do much with him. (maybe I liked him partly just in contrast to Antonio who I didn't mind at first, but got increasingly hard to take by his exit)

Meh that kinda thing always annoys me. More so when the characters are so similar (and Erin is cute, and capable but I can't picture her playing a vastly different character), or come back and work in the same character orbit--it's different if it was a smaller role in a different storyline and 10 years later they're someone new.

Erin was very, very good during the hit and run story when she lost baby Megan. She moved me to tears more than a few times. Plus, Eric's Jessie was smart as a whip, as Asa used to say. Bree's Jessica alas comes off like Tina, a total ditz.

Kudos to whoever said Kim looks straight out of porno flick. AS is only watchable with JVD's Clint for me. He softens her edges so much a likeable vulnerability shines through.

I don;t remember much of the stories from that period but I do remember original Jess and Cristian were a cute pair.

It was nice seeing GoodJessica again, and not trashy Jessica with the soap hair.

DF's Cris dated Jessica when she lost her virginity during a drunken bender with Will, then her pregnancy, losing the baby, her amnesia. After this she got together with Will, although I think Cris went on the run with them when Will was a fugitive and Jessica decided to get them money by becoming a rock singer.

Those stories ran for about 2 years and after that he was moved towards Jen Rappaport and they had less interaction.

He was also involved with Tea's boring niece throughout this period, before Antonio poached her in order to spare Cris the burden of dealing with her. Thrilling stuff.
