I believe so. She was part of Nina's wedding party the first time she and Cliff wed.

I liked Danny Markel, he was just a bit too wimpy to play Sam.

I wasn't talking about Markel, who I liked too, but the guy who played Sam for a few weeks when RKK first left.

Oh. Thomas Gibson? I thought he was OK but then he was on for such a short time it didn't matter. I wonder if he just wanted a few weeks' work and P&G remembered him from his ATWT role.

I think the official recollection of GF's time as Diana on DAYS is a classic example of "history being written by the winners." In this case, the winning side is the one that hated the part--namely Genie Francis herself.

But I think that most of her time on the show was pretty good. Diana was a popular character, who was paired with Roman (John) by demand from the viewers (the show had planned to pair her with MTW's Mike Horton). She was a successful enough character that the show tried to get her back in 1990. Diana not only worked with Roman, but also with Carrie, as well as the broader Brady family--she was a fit. And her rivalry with Jack, towards the end, was terrific.

Had a few things happened differently, I think GF could have been a huge star on DAYS for years. Her character was probably as important as Carly was in the early 90s, without as much airtime, and without the fans complaining that she was being jammed down their throats. Oh, and I think DH/Marlena's 1991 return would have been a lot more interesting had Diana been there at the time, instead of Isabella.

It kind of sounds like Genie hates some of her better roles and loves some of her lesser...

What did you think of the woman who played Gabrielle, Eve's mother? Was she miscast, due to age?

I know many would say Elaine Princi was also miscast as Linda Anderson.

Genie said in an interview once that Days had no character for her. They cast her and then gave her what was gonna be a two day role and originally she was supposed to be for Mike but that changed to Roman but they never could get Diana down and then she had Marlena fans who she couldnt please

Then there was a lkocale shoot where the actors were supposed to stay on this houseboat and sleep on benches. She called it the most unprofessional thing she ever saw and she went to a hotel and used her own Credit cards to get rooms for everyone

She said Days wanted her to renew but during talks they couldnt agree on where to take Diana so GF quit and her last scene Diana dyed her hair and snuck outta salem

Genie even said maybe Diana wasnt even who she really was. She was very disappointed in the experience

The interview is on the Emmy TV Legends site

If she is unhappy with unprofessionalism she's going to have fun at Y&R.

I remember the buzz that accompanied the arrival of Ceara on AMC...the character was named after Agnes Nixon's granddaughter and was promoted as being a status-driven schemer looking to marry rich...however, what we got was just Laura Spencer in pants suits walking around Pine Valley staring long and hard at every adult man with a few bucks...then she was positioned as a sudden rival to Erica, not even on the level of Brooke English. Then she joined forces with Adam to snatch ownership of Enchantment from Erica, which led to a few good scenes of bitchy scenes between the two..but then the press went wild with praise for the incest story garner attention and praise over on, as SOD called it, "that pot of Hollywood gloss, THE BOLD & the BEAUTIFUL, with claims that some stated was daytime's first.. That reportedly pissed Mrs Nixon off, as she had done the incest thing on LOVING in 1983, and the press acted as if it never happened...so in and ill-advised move, the spunky Ceara suddenly was seen in wardrobe befitting Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, crying at the drop of hat and cowering in corners, a out-of left field, it was revealed she had been raped by her father. Afterwards, Ceara was turned in the show's happy dull wallpaper before she took off with Jeremy to LOVING, only to be seen later being played by a stand-in seen from behind and from the waist-up stepping off an airport shuttle that just happened to be the site of a terrorist machine gun battle (apparently the first attacks on the U.S. happened in sleepy Corinth!) and bullets put an end a very poorly developed character.

Yeah I only saw the later incarnation of Ceara--it does sound like her conception was a big old mess. I thought that B&B incest story was hated--or am I confusing it with something else? Some guy and something to do with tennis? LOL To be fair ABC kinda ruined the denouement on the original Loving incest story to promote their own incest made for tv movie (wow all this drama over who gets to do incest first).

Todd McKee/Jake McClain on B&B, who had been molested by one of his father's poker buddies, I think.

Robin Strasser as Christina Karras on AMC.She had worked with Agnes on AW but didn't want to play the heavy again.Christina was created for her and she was integrated into the Martin family but somehow it never worked.

Were people expecting a dark side to emerge based on her fame as Rachel?

Was there resistance to Jeff and Christina because he and Mary were such a popular couple? Was there also the issue of a new Jeff being involved?

Louise Shaffer as Stephanie on SFT.

I think Christina failed, because RS just couldn't play that kind of character. Just as Lisa Brown wasn't as successful as ATWT's Iva Snyder because scrappy little Nola on GUIDING LIGHT is the kind of character she could portray.
