August 22, 201114 yr Member Jason Kincaid returns as Sam Brady On Sept 6th when he attends the Pine Valley high Reunion. Look for him to cozy up to Opal and Verla (Carol Burnett) is not gonna like it one bit
August 22, 201114 yr Member He probably wasn't so I'm sure he was happy to get the call from the show.
August 22, 201114 yr Member Never heard of him or his character on AMC :-\ but looking it up, looks like they are digging deep into 80s AMC history on this one so that's nice! LOVE the "Pine Valley High" reunion idea.
August 22, 201114 yr Member Technically, he isn't acting professionally anymore. These days, Jason Kincaid (or Louis Fossum, his real name) teaches in the theater department at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona. Ironically, I was watching "The Killing of a Chinese Bookie" the other night, and I spotted him, sans mustache, as the valet at a strip club owned by the film's protagonist, Cosmo Vitelli (Ben Gazzara).
August 22, 201114 yr Member Sam was involved with Dorothy Lyman's Opal, but Verla was a spoiler in their romance. There's a clip of Verla and Sam "dirty dancing" at Myrtle's boarding house on YT, in fact, with Opal walking in on the tail end and becoming livid with the two of them.
August 22, 201114 yr Member Jason was pretty popular in the role, popular enough to be (mis)cast briefly on ATWT as Tom Hughes for the last months of 1984. I have some articles with him somewhere. I just wish they'd bring back Mark!! This is such a random return.
August 22, 201114 yr Member I haven't seen much of Dorothy's Opal but she and Jill are VERY similar in voice and intonation. Weird!
August 22, 201114 yr Member I haven't seen much of Dorothy's Opal but she and Jill are VERY similar in voice and intonation. Weird! I thought the same thing when I watched that clip which is surprising bc they look so different. Its like they recast based on voice and manneurisms and not physical appearance
August 22, 201114 yr Member They sure went out of their way to hide Dack Rambo's hotness. Wow Opal was so nasty in that clip. To me that's the main difference between Dorothy and Jill - Jill has usually played or been written with more sweetness and dizziness.
