Jason Cook suffers from the Ricky Paull Goldin syndrome. The "I'm trying too damn hard to be natural and comedic" thing, which includes rambling and talking over people and unfunny attempts at being funny. I was reeeeeeeeally hoping this Matt character would be killed off in one of many acts of violence that seem to befall Maxie's boyfriends.

I always wanted him to get more airtime and now that he has it, I want it to stop. He is soo beyond annoying as hell!

This drug storyline is sooooo boring. Its awful all around. I have ZERO idea what is actually happenning in these scenes or why I should even care.

Epiphany you condescending biyatch, Skye is Jason's sister. That makes her family and privvy to know about him and his condition

How sickening was Epiphany today?? Since when does a hospital floor stay clean?

Someone needs to inform the writers that in a real hospital, if a nurse said or behaved like she did, she would be out of a job.

Hospitals are in dire need these days for patients.

The drug story, is getting old, and in reality it hasn't really begun yet. Zzzzzzz.....

I wish Liz would fall down some steps and kill herself.

5 minutes of her today and that attitude had me FFing thru all her scenes.

What a loser she is being written as.

NOT a good GH day. angry.png

I was enjoying Matt & Patrick's sibling rivalry, & then I also like Matt with Liz right now, but...he is still pretty annoying. The stuff with Lucky does him no favors. It also seems like he's always shouting these days. Matt, overall is a mess right now. I wish JC would just go back to Salem and take Kirsten with him.

I to am not a fan of this drug story...it's the weakest part of the show for me. That spaced out pill dealer guy makes me laugh though.

Todays episode really showed why I dislike Epiphany most of the time. She is just unnecessarily rude & vile to people for NO reason. Did NOT like how she treated Skye today.

Then there's Epiphany from yesterdays show, who had me cracking up...did anyone else laugh at that quick scene she had with Ethan in the hospital hallway?? I was LMAO!!

Wow I think the players are great one is a four time emmy winner. I dont' think that the drug storyline is a weak it hasn't played out enough for me yet. however, it was previously done during the time of Matt/Nadine/Sam/Lucky and went POOF! it was dropped...I think I'll wait to see exactly what happens but for me most of the stories playing are redundant... I mean she's been stuck to Lucky since 2009 in a storyline that they did already...

I really don't want to be negative w/hospital stories until I see the end result because that's been a lot of what's wrong with GH for me not enough hospital now that Wolf wants to get back to that I'll at least grant him until the arc plays out. as for LL2 if they aren't going to write them to work with sweet and dandy writing like the vanilla pairings get move them on in story because I'm tired of seeing them hover around each other.

I think Becky is wonderful she works the cah-cah they give her poor LL2 has gotten crappy writing for years as the biggest losers...always broke...jumping off roofs drug addicted, back to back triangles, WTD storylines, lose their job it might be new if "other characters" got some triangles or WTD

but Frons won't allow that, for many of her fans I post with the writing is a tad better for her I've read that Guza likes Becky (and Vanessa is his muse) but I saw no evidence of that on the screen for years. I want to see what Wolf does with her.

I admire Becky they've given her straight up and up crap...since Frons came on board. I would like women driving story and I'm really interested in Tracey's storyline; I think I may get some of that ..

How many times is this Carly/Sonny thing played out? Oh don't tell me she's gonna take away Morgan again but I can see how that isn't a weak link...for me most of these stories are redundant and not just on this show I just want to see how Wolf tells his stories so that is of interest to me now to keep watching all the stories. They rose in viewers this week so that's a good thing...

Actually, the answer to where it all went wrong for them was his becoming an addict, sleeping with maxie, and shoving Liz...

I really liked what they were setting up with Nick/Liz at the start before JJ returning and Lucky had to be the man again. They were explaining that Liz felt obligated to Lucky for various reasons, and him to her for the kids. They are first loves with lots of baggage they cant let go. Thats why they always come back together and cant move on. But then JJ came back, it was all Liz's fault. Her w/ Nik became slutty and borderline malicious. Then Becky was fired, Liz was thrown further under the bus, and Becky ended up staying. GW really needs to invest in Liz and fix the damage and give her a good story cuz we all KNOW that JJ will be gone sooner than later.

But remember, after that they re-committed themselves and forgave each other. Even before JJ came back, Liz treated GVLucky like [!@#$%^&*] all the while making moon eyes for Jason before she finally fucked him. How many flight of stairs did she climb to his penthouse to do it because if I'm not mistaken the power was out. Guza took a jack hammer to Elizabeth's character and all I see is a sanctimonious bitch who can't keep her legs closed and never takes responsibilities for her actions. Not even Jake's death made her sympathetic because it was never about her. If she truly felt obligated to Lucky back then she should have broke it off instead of acting like a two dollar whore with his brother. I absolutely loved the flaming Emmy bait for JJ when he confronted her and Nicholas last year since everything he told her was the truth, and the sad thing about it is that it remained the truth. Frankly, all I see is a slut and pimping LL2 does not make me root for them. I do hope Garin invests in her character because it's severely damaged and he needs to realize that fact. I've always said he needs to remind people why we should root for these couples instead of insta pimping them. Right now I could care less about Elizabeth and I sure as hell could care less about Lucky and this drug storyline.

RE: Epiphany: I haven't even seen the show but Epiphany has always been a walking stereotype. Garin would score major points with me if he created real diversity on this show.

I've read that Guza likes Becky (and Vanessa is his muse) but I saw no evidence of that on the screen for years.

Really? He completely decimated Lucky's character to greenlight her affair with Jason and constantly made Sam the lesser person in comparison to Liz. He wasn't subtle about it either, and he made it seem like just because Sam couldn't have children somehow meant that she wasn't worth any value or merit as a woman. I personally have an interesting theory about Guza and pregnancies/fertility and how we are supposed to view superior women on this show but that's for another thread. Back to the point Saint, Pious Elizabeth ruled the roost while constantly looking down on all the other women in Port Charles even Carly got taken down a notch or two by the sainted Webber and she is Guza's top bitch. He glorified Liz night and day and made her the sainted Madonna back in 2006 for birthing the beautiful son of Jason Morgan. This glamorization for the Liz character persisted well into her second love triangle with Nikolas where Guza made Rebecca the lesser woman who was just jealous because both Lucky and Nikolas wanted her and consistently made Lucky a second cuckold again to his own brother and the show was trying to pile this on as being okay. rolleyes.gif

Yeah Liz got plenty of free paces just like all of Guza's favorites. I get that Siobhan was unpopular but it sure as hell was nice seeing her lay into one of Guza's sainted pets every couple of scenes. I'm still so very bitter about the way she was portrayed during the last five years.

I don't think for me (who dispises's the character of Liz) it is the fact she likes to lay in the bed so easily. smile.png

It is more about her sneaky, self-serving personality I find so hard to watch. angry.png Liz is no better than alot of other hated characters on the show. It all about her. What she wants and her needs. She too doesn't care who she steps on to get what she wants.

She bears no morals at all. HATE when people compare her to Sam. Say what you will about Sam or Carly, (and there is plenty to say) Sam & Carly at least knows how to 'Own Up' to who and what they are..

Can Liz? No.

I think at this stage in the game, most soap watchers who've been around for a while have "seen it all", so there really isn't anything new except perhaps the variations on the theme. That's not necessarily a bad thing as fans slip into soaps like we slip into our fuzzy buzzy slippers and occasionally find a chunk of lego. Those surprises can get all sorts of reactions out of us, but eventually we relax back into the comfort again. The problem IMO isn't one person or team or even actors, it's expecting soaps to be what they can't possibly be. Guza was well known for wanting to emulate some of the big name night dramas of his time, and kept having good stories destroyed by the medium of soaps and the push-back of fans. Others want to do big budget stuff, but again are limited by the reality of money in this medium. And then fans - many of whom I want to knock together and ask them what they're even doing here - want either happy endings or instant wrap-ups or action that can only be done in film.

I think personally that we as an audience have become too complacent and don't work for the stories ourselves. We like spoon-feeding, predictable endings, and this funny thing called "romance" which is more often than not translated as sex. GW is just laying the groundwork right now and he's demanding that we work for it, in forms such as wondering what AZ/Skye/Tracy are up to and how it links business/mob/hospital. And like most people who would rather sit and watch than lift weights, there is already the push back.

IMO we have to start treating soaps like 1950's dime-store novels again. The writing won't be the greatest, sex and violence will be relatively innocent compared to US cable and movie offerings, sometimes the melodrama will have us laughing and rolling our eyes throughout, and we have to wait until the next instalment to see what happens.

As in representing 50's dime novels. I still want to see Spumoni back eventually, but in the meantime he's opening up thoughts about a by-gone era. Not everyone's cup of tea, granted, but still a different approach.
