So was all this "Nobody I know has been contacted..." stuff we got from actors purposeful disinformation or just a bad response to a gag order? Because while I understand these actors wanting/needing to respond to the constant inquiries, I hope from here on out they just stick with silence when they have nothing to share much the way Susan Lucci is (not) responding to the Deadline.com report. Granted gossip loves a vacuum but that's better than misinformation and will save them a lot of trouble in the long run.

I think it was a sort of gag order

I am not sure I understand the logic in people like WW and VI vehemently denying it. I don' t know if it was some sort of tactic to generate interest and buzz same as the Lucci rumor. If so I guess its sort of genius in a way but then it discounts all the "rumors" sites like DC have continued to promote that AMC is being sidelined and that PP is 100 percent focused on OLTL.

I wonder why. Does it have something to do with the ending of AMC or was this part of the whole Susan Lucci thing? Regardless, at least they can get on with it.

I wonder why.

HOnestly he really didn't say much on GMA other than some of the actors had been contacted. Heck that might have just happened this week and that PP felt CM being on a Nationally watched network program would be a good place to let it spill. It certainly gets more attention then dropping it on the internet. I personally would not be shocked to now see Susan Lucci annouce she is continuing with PP on The View next week. As much as people live on message boards for these shows and twitter the volume lets be honest pales in comparison to the number of people actually watching television.

I could see that. PP has that four month gap after the show ends so maybe this is about pacing the news.

Susan Lucci has played ALL MY CHILDREN’s Erica Kane for most of her adult life. When the long-running soap opera ends next week, it will be the end of a television era. Mo Rocca talks to the actress about all she has learned from Erica through the years, and what might be next for her…and her alter-ego.

This interview will broadcast Sunday, September 18 on CBS SUNDAY MORNING (9:00 – 10:30 a.m. ET).

I hope we hear some news soon regarding which actors are going along with the show to Prospect Park. I read in SOD (I think) that Alicia Minshew turned down a role on another soap...so I wonder if that means she is planning as continuing with Kendall. I hope they find a network for the shows to air on??? Any more news on the Bravo network rumor??

SoapOperaSource Soap Opera Source

Alicia Minshew (Kendall, AMC) revealed to The Hollywood Reporter she will NOT continue on with AMC online.

Oy I really hope she has not taken a job with Y&R.

I know lots of people like her but I can't say I am upset. I have never been a fan of what Kendall became with the recast.

AM seems like a nice person and professional and I wish her lots of luck.

Alicia Minshew has played one of the most popular characters on ABC’s All My Children since 2002. As Erica Kane’s (Susan Lucci) daughter, Kendall Hart, fans have gone from hating her devious ways to loving the woman she has become. With the broadcast end of the daytime soap approaching next Friday, Minshew reveals to The Hollywood Reporter exclusively that she wouldn’t return fulltime to Prospect Park’s online continuation of the series.

STORY: Susan Lucci Criticizes ABC Daytime Chief in New Epilogue

“I know they are starting to approach people now,” Minshew tells us. “If they were to come to me and ask me to do it [and] if I could work it out where I could maybe be recurring, I could pop in every now and then, I could work with these people that I love and still be a part of this. I would be open to that.”

Otherwise, the actress tells us that she’s ready to do something fresh. “Something funny. Something light,” she says.

“I'd love to do a sitcom,” she adds. “You know, but I don’t really get a chance to do stuff like that when I'm on a soap, because it's a daytime drama, so everything is very dramatic. So, I'm really open to kind of whatever the universe is going to lay my way, whatever it is… but I'm leaning towards doing something funny in life, because I enjoy that and because I know I can do it. I’m craving something that's completely the opposite of what I've been doing.”

Meanwhile, her TV mom and close friend, Lucci, has been making recent headlines resulting from rewrites to her memoir that reveal she isn’t happy at all with ABC brass for canceling the show. She writes among other critiques that the head of the network’s daytime unit, Brian Frons, has "that fatal combination of ignorance and arrogance." Minshew says even she’s surprised by her cast mate’s fury.

I actually commend AM on her outlook. I actually dislike her as Kendall but I think she could actually be fun in a comedic sort of role. I don't think her strengths are what SMG brought to the role or what they turned Kendall into which was the weepy tragic heroine. But she has a lightess about her that I think came to surface when they wrote off Zach. I know you love Zendall but I thought the pairing for her CHARACTER(maybe not the actress) was disastrous. ANd no I find Griffin completely useless but I actually started to like Kendall again with Zach gone.

AM is really good at comedy. I'd love to see what she can do outside of soaps. I've always felt she seemed ready to move on given things she's said in interviews since she came back from her maternity leave last August.

Oh boy, the Good Night Pine Valley party is going to be insane for her now. I'm surprised she dropped that news now but at least a lot of her fans will get to say goodbye to her in person. I wish her the best. I don't like Kendall but AM seems like a real sweetheart.
