Another Option if gary Tomlin returns as OLTL EP, Chris Whitesell could come back as HW. He was Co-HW with LB in 2001-03

Gary Tomlin? Shudder last thing OLTL needs is more camp!

Tomlin was better at it than RC (and Teddy Sears > today's rapist and interchangeable "hunks"), but that's not saying a lot.

I honestly think the people who run Y&R are so obsessed with power plays that they would rather have a decimated canvas.

MAB, Hogan and Scott Hamner are so determined to prove something to CBS that they're unwilling to accept that they have been just as hazardous to this show's health, if not more so, than were Babs Bloom and Les Moonves.

Rumor has it that Jean Passante could become OLTL headwriter

Ive also heard that if FV go to GH that Gary Tomlin or Paul Rauch could return as OLTL EP

I've officially lost hope. Again.

I find it shocking PP isn't advertising AMC's new home during AMC's final weeks.

There is no new home yet. That's the real problem. I know everybody wants to know who's signed and who hasn't but IMO, PP should be focusing on getting their delivery system up and running, whatever it is.

Good heavens does PP not know any other writers in the entertainment industry than the same group of dried up talent thats been killing it for years and while some people think RC walks on water his ideas are as dated and cliched as the rest. Same EP's, same HW;s, same showkillers.

Didn;t Frons actually hire a decent writer for the second season of that Soapnet spinoff of GH they did someone who was a primetime writer who actually got a lot of praise for the writing he did?

You are referring to Sri Rao. . He did a good job. I enjoyed GH Night Shift.

I don't buy it, but bite my fricking tongue off, I am morbidly curious about what Mr. Rauch would bring to OLTL in this day and age. And if he brought back Robin, we'd need cameras in that damn building, that's where the real soap opera would be. I think he'd lose the Fords though which would of course be a plus.

I would start my write-in campaign to bring Janet Zarish back for the third time.

That's the thing. My grandma emails me asking me questions, trying to figure this thing out, cable or internet, and I don't know what to tell her. I gave her a run down of all the possibilities and she just emailed me yesterday saying that they'll probably quit watching once AMC "is over as we now know it."

If I were in charge of PP, I'd look for new writers aggressively since I'd want to revamp the shows at least somewhat. THey need to look at bibles from several people for each show and see who has the best visit to take things into the future. If that's somebody with daytime experience that's fine, but I'd liek them to look elsewhere as well. They can always balance it out with an experienced CO-HW and the already existing breakdown writers who know the history of these shows.

There was a time when Douglas Marland was just a former soap actor and Harding Lemay was a novelist. And back then in a lot of those cases the writer had never seen the show before. It's a risk worth taking.

Don't worry you can always get Dena Higley back or better yet Bob Guza.

I would like someone new who actually respects and is interested in the genre. In recent years any time they bring in someone new it's someone who clearly despises the soap format (Hogan Sheffer).

Frons: "Curses! I was certain that Rao kid would turn out to be another hack!"

It proves is there is fresh talent out there who could do a decent job. Frons never hired him on after that which is a good thing.

Prospect Park is not impressing me whatsoever if they are looking at the same pool of tired talent we have seen for years.
