Watching those 1988 episodes, Donna had more purpose than Brooke due to the modeling story, majoring in Journalism, etc.  I was surprised Katie had focus and the family seemed closer knit than the Forrester family...so I never understood why Brooke was always unsatisfied and wanting to be wealthy.  Even in 1988..brooke was a chemist but only had ties in a romantic sense with the Forresters...while Donna had more avenues to explore..but after 1989.was just a talk to for Brooke and Macy before leaving in 1991

The credits to those 1988 episodes are interesting: even though the show is entering season 2 and it is beyond the first 250 episodes, both producer Gail Kobe of P&G fame and writer Meg Bennett are still listed in the credits. I'd thought that they both left after the first year, but now it seems they left sometime in the late spring/summer of 1988.

Thank you so much for these. Those late 1992/early 1993 episodes are amongst my first memories of watching B&B with my mom and whilst I managed to catch up with most of 1987-1992, I haven't seen much 1992-1996 since it's original broadcast while I have the fondest memories of this time.

That Sheila and Dr. Garvin scene in the December 1, 1992 you posted a while back is a prime example what I loved about 90s B&B. There are so many great tongue in cheek scenes around all the yada-yada-love triangles.

DOn't know if these were shared here before?

Anyway, as we were reliving 1992 and 1993: these are two more episodes from the first half of 1992. (There a couple of more scenes and episodes on the channel as well, but I haven't pinned them down to a certain episode yet)

Very well-balanced episode... multiple stories going on at the same time... and I believe Stephanie name dropped Spectra in this episode LOL

I wish Brad Bell could look back at this era to see how Donna and Brooke were written... Brooke wanting the wealth and security so she basically groveled at Stephanie's feet.. while Donna didn't care about approval.. she was doing what was right (i.e. going to find her dad and bring him home vs. Brooke who didn't want anyone to know their father was alive).

    • I do not think I have ever agreed with Vee. Normally I do not read him, Ignore ya know. For some unknown reason I clicked to read. And I agree 1000%. Now, this is so odd that I need to go away for a bit.
    • Justine had a lot of hooey in it, but she was an actual woman, not a guy in drag. She was a doppelganger of Rachel, French, having had a past history with Carl, etc. Two of the more outrageous parts-Justine bricking alive Vicky into a wall & Justine grinding the gears driving a big rig.
    • Hehe, twi/x actually x, formerly Twitter. Typically I find 2 sources for "crazy fan rumors" - the wrong parts of FB and x. Oy.
    • Not to hijack the thread, but was that character Justine? I just found this interview online with Logan and see what you're talking about - wow!   http://www.anotherworldhomepage.com/chat85.html
    • My bad….ill fix that  Fixed
    • Where do you discover this crazy rumor??
    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.
