Aw man, that's horrible. MTV was just airing a lot of Jackass stuff this past week, and I caught some of it. That crazy ass group of guys have kept me entertained for years, and it's sad to know that one of them is now gone. If I'm not mistaken, he's the first major death in the Jackass family.

There's something very special and heart-warming about the fact that it was April who called in to confirm the news. It really lets you know how tight and close-knit the whole group has gotten over the years.

That was heartbreaking to watch. And the crash picture uploaded before he actually crashed is just creepy.

I LOVE Jackass and still haven't forgiven myself for not seeing the latest 3D installment.

That's why I hadn't posted yet. The first thing that came to mind was that he was drunk. Going at that rate of speed. I loathe DWI drivers. They deserve to be jailed for their entire lifetime. There is no need to drink and drive.

I feel sorry for him, but moreso I feel sorry for the person in the passenger seat who was killed because of his idiotic choices. I don't wish to speak ill of the dead, but there is no excuse for driving drunk at ANY TIME, especially when we know damn well you can afford a driver.

They were both drinking. There was a photo that Dunn posted a few hours before the crash of the two of them and another man drinking.

I guess they knew the risk.

I'm sorry for him and his family...I don't really know that much about him. I was interested in this mostly for the controversy over Ebert's comments.

I feel sorry that he was ignorant enough to make that decision. It doesn't make him a bad person, but it does make him an extremely ignorant one. I feel sorry that his lack of judgement has not only cost him his own life at a young age, but that he took someone elses with him.

And for his family. They lost a family member and will grieve for him. So, even though his death was a product of his own ignorance, a group of people will mourn him for the rest of their lives. So my heart goes out to them as well.

It's not smart, but he was intoxicated as well. He made a stupid decision, but his actions didn't put anyone in danger. Should he have allowed Ryan to drive drunk? No. But unfortunately, when two people are intoxicated, no one will think straight. I commend him for not making the decision to drive on his own.

Bottom line is: Friends don't let friends party without a designated driver.

 +1

THANK YOU! My sympathies extend to his family and loved ones, but his own stupidity and lack of judgment (I question how much he had in the first place considering what his career is/was) cost him his life and someone else. Thank god they didn't hit another car.

There are far more grievous tragedies in this world EVERY DAY that don't even generate a fraction of what this has generated. I understand he was a public figure, but it just irks me. I am bias, because I'll never understand the appeal of watching people do disgusting, life risking stunts... and pay money to do so as well.

    • Yes, but the stories are all pretty awful Seeing Victor rehashing his hatred of the Abbotts  when he married one of them and has a daughter that is half Abbott as well as walking around with Traci's daughter's heart keeping him alive makes him look worse than he already is. And I remember he and Jack chatting amicably in the past few years. Victor interfering in Kyle/Claire is just repeat of Billy/Victoria. Sharon, Nick,Phyllis etc are around but again the stories are lacking.
    • I think Kevin's 1996 Emmy was fair enough. He barely appeared for his second. I don't think anyone else on the list is that deserving but I might have gone with Moore as he did try with the whole Keesha AIDS story. @alwaysAMC Thanks to slick jones' cast list I was able to see that Nikki Rene played Tina. Not much on her, as you mentioned. Tap and a few Broadway listings (it doesn't help that a younger actress with a similar name is in a lot of roles). • Thank you. That does ring a bell. I remember Theresa and Julian's drunk, giggly fake wedding (with Julian asking "Whassup?" to the minister). Was Bruce tricking the pair as a prank, or did somebody put him up to it? I especially liked Katherine recalling how dashing young Alistair was when he'd pick up Rachel for dates, and how she wished she could be her sister, then feeling guilty once Rachel had her boating accident ...
    • And Kevin Mambo beat Shemar Moore for those two Emmys. I chalk up the wins to the voters not wanting Jonathan Jackson to eventually end up with a five peat (he won 1995, 1998, 1999). These were the 1996 and 1997 Younger Actor races. 1996: Nathan Fillion, Jonathan Jackson, Kevin Mambo (winner), Shemar Moore, Joshua Morrow 1997: Steve Burton, Jonathan Jackson, Kevin Mambo (winner), Shemar Moore, Joshua Morrow

    • Today's episode was excellent. Clearly it was confrontation day and they didn't disappoint. I'm glad they didn't forget Mona in all of this and gave us an opportunity to see how she's dealing with this. A major highlight for me were the Kat and Martin scenes. Their chemistry is off the charts and I don't understand why we haven't gotten more of this. I love how they take turns calming each other down. They feel really well matched and believable as siblings. Speaking of siblings, they anvils were dropping strong that Kat and Eva are twins but I do wish someone would mention that they are essentially hood twins which might throw people off the scent.  I'm one of the people who enjoyed Joey and the gambling storyline so it was nice to see him again. It was nice to see different characters like Mona and Eva in that element instead of the usual players. When Doug arrived I don't know what hit me but I just see a funeral in his future. He seems so hopeless and has the worst luck. I just can't see him surviving the year at this rate.
    • In fiction there has become an expectation by some that every Black character should represent excellence and perfection. It's not like we are talking about a Tyler Perry show where none of the characters are happy and everyone hates each other with a passion.
    • And on rewatch, I could've done without the unsubtle praising Matt like he was the only one who ever accepted Van as she was...but TPTB and their agendas.  It was totally in character for Vanessa to shut down emotionally until she was alone. While she could be volatile, both she and Henry believed in keeping emotions private.  Thank God it's still Bryan Buffinton in the role for both Henry's and HB's funerals. It just wouldn't have been the same with Ryan Brown, who couldn't act his way out of a wet paper bag. Roll My Eyes.
