Earlier this week, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS' Christian Jules LeBlanc (Michael) tweeted "I have a new sister! Ain't she gorgeous!!!" Although the picture LeBlanc posted showed him alongside a young woman blocking her face, Soaps In Depth can now report that daytime newcomer Jessica Heap has been cast in the role of River's daughter.

The Baton Rouge native's previous credits include a lead role alongside former DAYS OF OUR LIVES ingénue Ashley Benson (ex-Abby) in the TV movie Fab Five: The Texas Cheerleader Scandal -- based on the real-life scandal in which a fed-up coach resigned after dealing with the clique's lewd behavior -- and in the 2010 crime thriller Sinners & Saints, with her new Y&R co-star Sean Patrick Flanery (Sam)!

In replacing Vanessa Marano (now starring on ABC Family's hit new series SWITCHED AT BIRTH) in the role, Heap will play a slightly SORAS'd Eden when she makes her debut on Tuesday, June 28.

Meh. Hopefully she's a better actress, though Vanessa Marano seems to have improved in other projects (Dexter, Switched at Birth)

I hope this one doesn't irk me like the first two did. She's too pretty for Noah though. Her look makes her seem like she'd go for an older guy. Welp, this leaves Ricky and Selena. Then the arrival of lame teens will be complete.
