All I know is Malcolm went from being one of my favorite characters to least favorite with this recast. My God, he's dull. PLEASE get a good actor in the role!

The problem with Y&R is that they people who run it are too arrogant to admit to any failures, so they try to force things on the audience that clearly don't work and will never work.

Since we settle that, what about Trevor St.John as the nuMalcolm.

But I still want Wendell I mean Wendy Williams as the nuMalcolm. I'm just saying Cane were a triplet, why can't we get Malcolm as a sex change.

just found this for you

What is the guy who played Ron on A Different World doing now?

He's married to Tempest Bledsoe.

They would probably end up casting Shirley Q. Liquor.

TSJ as Malcolm - would they suddenly claim he has no blood ties to Lily, so he can tragically romance her, or would they pair him with Phyllis?

I'm sure CK will cheer on incest.

Doesn't she just fit in the role perfectly. & Since OLTL going off the air & Y&R like to pick up other actors from other soaps. Why not Wen....dy Williams.

He's married to Tempest Bledsoe.

I also saw Darryl on TV One last year hosting a retrospective program on black shows, interviewing folks like Jimmie Walker.

Meanwhile, Bumper Robinson would be a good temp Neal.

Cliff would never want his daughter with Ron :o

The last season of ADW had such a different tone than most of the others but I loved Freddie/Ron, they had great chemistry and for once I almost agreed with that hideous "WHOOOOO!!!!" noise that only belonged on Saved by the Bell.

Didn't she lose it to him in the radio station during the hurricane with the mic still on? I dunno what it was about Freddie, but I never liked her serious, I always liked her more when she was a neurotic lunchbox.

Yeah, then that ended badly and he was with Kim and she was with the activist guy, I can't remember his name (my favorite ADW moment was Kim's response to him after he criticized her for dating a white man).

I thought her neurotic side became way too shrill in the fifth season, and she became a bad self-parody. That's why I liked the change in her. They also changed Dwayne and Whitley quite a bit, but generally I thought it was a good idea, mostly because Whitley had also become a self-parody.

Shazza (Gary Dourdan). Aww, Kim and Freddie's cousin Matthew ("On my mom's side. "). He really loved Kim. And of course Anita 'The Body' Morris played Freddie's mom.

I always forget Gary Dourdan played that role.

Anita Morris looked so beautiful even up to that last role.

I wonder what Kim is doing now.
