LOVE that shot of their wedding! There was an old SOW (I think) article (they were on the cover!) on Fiona Fest where I believe Paul Rauch said that the show was going to wait about a year before marrying them, but the audience was so vocal about them getting married that they finally just went ahead and did it.

Sorry about that. I may have posted too many clips (I haven't done as many lately). If you ever want to read the articles I can just start posting them on the OLTL thread in the canceled soaps section - just let me know.

It's said lots of times for a wide range of people, but I think it's definitely true for Larry Lau: somewhere, in that man's attic, is a portrait that ages as he doesn't.

I beleive that about two people. Erika Slezak and Rob Lowe. Yes Erika changed hairstyles but she's still as beutiful as she was all those years ago when she started on the show. and given all the fashion trends she had to endure day after day for 41 years, she looks even better now. and i'm still waiting for Rob Lowe to age. he's getting a little gray but he's still the best looking man on the planet.

    • They said that this has metastasized to his bones, but the type of "aggressive" prostate cancer he has is actually very common and is treatable, or at least manageable. So the headline is misleading.   Apparently this type of cancer is hormonal which makes it somewhat treatable? But still, of course, sad.  Thinking of him and his loved ones.
    • Kat is a spoiled brat princess and Silk Press Sheila called her out on it.  Silk Press Sheila is someone not to mess with. I was actually scared for Kat when she was alone with Silk Press Sheila and recording their conversation.
    • It is funny that Stephanie and Philip still hide/blush/get embarrassed at the sight of each other.  Meanwhile, Kate's pouring coffee for Rafe at the pub as if they're only casual acquaintances.  Although, if Kate blushed every time she saw one of her former lovers, she'd be permanently red.
    • Great thought.  I mostly forgot about Kate's cancer.
    • I figured because Kate received her cancer treatment at the hospital that she decided to “give back” by being on the board.
    • Someone posted years ago that they remember Pamela Peters (Peggy) was having some sort of issues behind the scenes during the rape storyline and barely participated onscreen when it played out. Trish Stewart (Chris) seemed to carry most of the storyline along with Dick DeCoit (Ron) and David Hasselhoff (Snapper). I think the poster also mentioned that Anthony Hererra (Jack) said that Pamela Peters one day looked into the camera and exclaimed she didn't know what she was doing and walked out of the scene.
    • Yes! I'm not at your point of not rooting for the Duprees, but they really need to tone down the self-righteousness. Some of the things coming out of these ladies' mouths is out of pocket considering all the skeletons in their own family's closet.
    • Kat is still a privileged elitist. She hated Eva on sight because Eva didn’t bow her head to her immediately and continued to treat Eva like a stain on her overpriced shoes. I’d love to know if Laura kissed her ass and kissed the ring properly and knew her place below Kat in the general hierarchy.    While Eva has been deserving of most of the consequences she’s been reaping, the Dupree women can take several hundred seats with the way they behave towards others. The hypocrisy and posturing irks me more than anything else and it’s the same thing that irks me about all other prominent soap families who can do no wrong in their own eyes.   I’m not really rooting for any of these assholes except maybe Eva (who is by default the smallest [!@#$%^&*] on this show), but I’m rooting against the Dupree family (except Nicole - she’s awesome) in general and I’m not sure that’s the goal of the showrunners.
