I think she did sort of work as the fragile, baby-obsessed Kelly written at this time, but there was nothing going on under the surface. Heather Tom added more layers.

Tracy Melchior aka Bland Barbie. That was my nickname for her at the time. She was just so darn boring in the role

Not trying to be funny or mean-spirited, but it seems to me there was a reason why Nancy Pinkerton wouldn't discuss her love life and it had everything to do with her sexuality.

December 1977 Daytimers. This may be one of the most bizarre ideas for an advice column ever. Wouldn't YOU want to take advice from Lana and Karen??

Thanks for posting more of the recaps Carl. I see this is the beginning of the end for Pat and another odd period for the show.

Considering Karen was about to become a hooker and Lana would soon kill herself, it is off someone would write to them.

Thanks for reading.

I find the decision to have a murder mystery surrounding Katrina to be very odd indeed.

That is a little weird. From what I know, she had been more of a recurring character, although equally important in story through Brad, Karen, Jenny and the baby. Also, the Clint and Echo story would soon be on and he would stand trial for "murder".

Another great NP interview, thanks Carl. I love a woman who smokes a cigarette while eating a salad.

I kinda wanna kick that interviewer in the throat, how obnoxious. He does not make himself come across well.

That Stella Adler anecdote is hilarious.

I'm always surprised by how well these '70s soap magazines embraced the word "bitch".

It's feels sort of weird to post this on Easter Sunday, but here it is: Max's "funeral", and Gabrielle railing at God right after:

I find it kind of interesting that the Archdiocese of New York got so upset about this, given that she didn't literally damn God to hell in this clip. She doesn't even curse! I guess it is pretty well implied, though.
