January 6, 201213 yr Member Only posted this part because--whether JFP was producing/writing the show on her own at this point or not--I'll be DAMNED if the scenes with Jessica, Megan, and baby Megan haven't made me cry like a baby. Because, honestly, they have . I didn't remember Larry being there for that! Was that like his second last appearance? It hasn't hit me yet. I accepted the cancellation because I'd heard it was coming. Then I accepted the continuation. Then I accepted the second cancellation. Because I think eventually these brand names will return in some format, albeit very different. But no, it has not quite hit me emotionally that there's no more after next Friday. I understand it intellectually, but I'm not sure if I've totally internalized it or what. For AMC it took me honestly to really hit, the Monday AFTER the finale... I expect the same this time (and no, it doesn't get easier, if anything this time, even if AMC was slightly more "my" show, it feels more final with both gone and no real future hope). Well i didn't see the People magazine article yet (it's not a special magazine, just an article in the regular weekly one.) but i did get the special One Life tribute magazine, (very happily suprised since there was no preview like they did with AMC) and the regular Digest. Unfortuitly my Soap Opera Weekly (for this week) won't come out until next week because they are a week behind since Thanksgiving. Wait so there IS a special OLTL magazine?? Did I miss all mention of this? Edited January 6, 201213 yr by EricMontreal22
January 6, 201213 yr Member That picture of Claire Malis and Ellen Holly is a gem. I'd love to see her in the role of Dorian. She certainly looks the part. Also interesting that the two were somehow tied together in the story.
January 6, 201213 yr Member Claire looks like Jaime Lyn Bauer in that photo. The photo is from, I believe, a function where the mayor of NYC celebrated the East Coast soaps. I wish there had been more Dorian/Carla interaction, especially since Carla may have been a little more of a fighter than Viki at that time.
January 6, 201213 yr Member What irks me is the photo mentions Dorian and Carla story but there's absolutely no mention of the story in the article itself.
January 6, 201213 yr Member That's true. Sometimes SOD just wanted to run photos, I guess, and came up with a caption to fit them (for instance, showing an actor going to the Emmys, and then saying ____ is in good spirits/is dressed up for a fun night). Maybe they didn't interact onscreen.
January 6, 201213 yr Member Wait so there IS a special OLTL magazine?? Did I miss all mention of this? You're not the only one who did. I don't think there was much coverage at all and i buy Soap Digest almost every week. They promoted the AMC one i think a month before it came out. but it was a nice suprise when i saw it at Wallmart.
January 7, 201213 yr Member I'll hunt it down, hope it's made it to Canada. What happened to Wanda in that photo !
January 7, 201213 yr Member Marilyn Chris left OLTL for a year or two. Lee Lawson, probably best known as Bea Reardon on GL, replaced her. I'm not quite sure why they were so quick to recast these roles of the supporting characters like Anna, Wanda, Vince, as none of the recasts seemed to work out.
January 7, 201213 yr Member It's the bellbottoms. I kept trying to figure out if she'd wandered into Collinwood's foyer set.
January 7, 201213 yr Member Love this. Think I said that before. But, oh [!@#$%^&*] it. LOL to the dog running behind Cord.
