Members Jonathan
I wish the show had brought back Linc to try to rebuild the Tyler family.
Members All My Shadows
Thanks for the Peter White article! I’m watching a Carol Burnett marathon, and I forget how many AMC surprises you’d find throughout the opening segments of her show. She just discussed storylines with the audience and then pointed out that Peter White and Francesca James were guests in the audience that night.

Members Jonathan
This clip of Adam is sooooooooo creepy! He was a darker character back in the 80s. The music at the end gave me the heebie jeebies. Members Darn
Wasn't Jenny all of 18 when she died? Why are they talking about babies?! And yes, Adam is super creepy in that scene. The 80s synth is top notch though.
Members Jonathan
I want to say Jenny was slightly older than 18. But yes, young love was so different back then, and I don't think the 80s audience batted an eye when these characters talked about making babies. Members Jonathan
I don't think this version of Adam would have lasted for as long as Adam did. He's creepy, on the verge of psychopath. The writers definitely softened him (just a tad) over the years.
Members heffer
Canary originally played Adam as simply a deconstructed antithesis of his version of Steve Frame on Another World. I agree that maybe the original plans was to kill off or arrest Adam after something evil happened, but they were able to flesh out the chatacter more.
Members Jonathan
I just watched Cedric Boseman's scenes as Reggie. Wow, that character was so different when he played him. So much older. The show de-sorased him when Michael B. Jordan was cast. Please register in order to view this content
Members Chris B
Speaking of Chadwick, this speech he did about his time on All My Children was so disappointing. I always say, what we know of racism in soaps is bad, but what we don’t know was really concerns me. The more we hear of these stories, the more widespread it’s revealed to be. The one positive is that like he said, he was able to open their eyes to at least retool they role when he was replaced.
Members Jonathan
It is disappointing, considering the fact that this is All My Children, a soap opera that Agnes Nixon created that brought us one of the most popular Black couples in all of TV (Angie and Jesse). Who was the executive that Chadwick was referring to? Chadwick referred to him as "he." Who would that have been?
Members Faulkner
Could it have been Brian Frons? Chadwick also mentions a female exec, and Jean Dadario Burke looks to have been the EP around January 2003. Gordon Rayfield was HW, so could have been him as well?
Members Jonathan
I just feel like most actors, unless you're a veteran, would not have access to Frons. It's probably not Rayfield because in the clip the male executive said that he'd put Chadwick in touch with the writers. Members Faulkner
I guess we won’t know, of course, unless someone spills the tea. Certainly could have been another producer, but I’m not that familiar about who was crew on AMC in that era. (Just saw Casey Childs was also a producer then, as was Ginger Smith.) Probably would end up being some pencil-pusher whose name we’ll never know. Edited September 1, 2020 by Faulkner
