February 1, 201114 yr Member You can now study James Franco for college credit. The Oscar-nominated actor has teamed up with Columbia College Hollywood — based in Tarzana, Calif. -- to offer a 12-student editing class where they will create a half-hour documentary using footage from his film career. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/james-franco-creates-college-class-94781
February 1, 201114 yr Member At first when I read the title I was like !! I am a HUGE Franco fan and that made me but then after reading the description, I think that sounds really cool! If I planned on going to that college in CA I would consider taking that class...I flove James Franco.
February 15, 201114 yr Member (what I wrote in the article's comments section) This actually sounds like a very practical course to undertake: You're given a specific brief (make a half-hour documentary on James Franco) and have to work within the confines of that brief to make something that is coherent, interesting and relevant. If a student is successful in this course then they end up with something that would look great on any perspective filmmaker's Resume.
