I will not feel bad for Marcus ONE BIT! He is playing Dayzee like a fiddle two weeks ago he was in bed with Amber, then, like the next day he was on a date with Dayzee introducing her to his parents! Made me sick to my stomach and I hope she finds out & kicks Marcus to the curb on the spot.

I agree with you about Madison though! I like her to and enjoy her with Thomas as well! Dayzee/Thomas/Madison could be interesting

OK, I'll bite. It's none other than Billy Flynn's brief Y&R co-star, Conner Floyd. For example, see https://www.comingsoon.net/guides/news/1993618-days-of-our-lives-dool-chad-dimera-conner-floyd-debut. According to that June 2025 article, Flynn will play Chad until January 2026, and Floyd was already filming as Chad, for an on-air debut in April 2026. I really haven't been following this too closely, so if anyone has any update(s) on this, please feel free to contribute...

Knots Landing

I would have been tempted to dump Mack and try to rework a new era for Gary and Val but it probably would have been too much. If only the show had had a stronger cast beyond the originals in those last years (I love Kathleen Noone, but can you imagine a show led by Claudia).
I tend to think Nicolette would have left for new things but considering her work post-Knots ended up being softcore HBO movies, maybe not.
I might have had Joan play it as bad, but somehow the public appreciates her anyway, because of her sincerity. She would not keep the gig long-term but might start to finally move on from her old life and demons (and moving away with Gary and the twins when JVA chose to leave in season 13).
Ben Johnson would have been a great choice. Maybe do the old terminal illness reunion storyline.

Brooke should have stuck to situation comedy. She has that high histrionic voice that is better suited for a 3 camera live audience sitcom.

I agree it doesn't make a great deal of sense for Cassie to fight so hard for Blair. I suppose the idea is that she's the good Cramer trying to bring the family together, which is preferable to the times she comes across as sanctimonious.
Elaine Princi gives a beautiful performance, especially the end when she asks Cassie, like a child, if this means Cassie isn't choosing Blair over her.
I always had mixed feelings about Laura Koffman's Cassie, and I'm reminded why here. I don't think she plays the scenes right. She's very shallow - her line readings at the end are more like something a mother says at the end of a sitcom episode.

I also think Mary O'Brien is excellent in what I've seen of Heather, both before and during the LSD trip (a fair amount of material from '78 and early '79 is online). She's very brittle and seems just off in a disturbingly real way. I think Monty just had it in for her.

I think the producers would've moved heaven and earth to convince her to stay, since she was exactly the sort of young, sultry type who would've kept the younger audiences from tuning out. And I think Michele Lee and Kevin Dobson would've stayed, if only to provide continuity. But the rest of the cast, including Ted Shackelford, probably would've been phased out; and younger characters, played by cheaper actors, would've moved into Seaview Circle as part of CBS and Lorimar's plan to overhaul KL for the '90's.
