Members danfling
I have been listening to the dialogue in the video above. Is that first scene a dialogue beween Jean Garrison and Angie? or is between the character that Constance Towers played and Angie?

Members amybrickwallace
Does anyone remember a character on LIAMST named Cathy Loomis? She was involved with Paul Michael Glaser's doctor character. Cathy was played by an actress who would play another Cathy on TD...Holly Peters.
Members danfling
I found mention of the character of Cathy Loomis on the show, as played by Holly Peters. I have no information on how the character fit into the storyline.
Members amybrickwallace
Thanks! From what I understand, her character shared most of her screen time with Paul Michael Glaser's character.

Members amybrickwallace
I missed her brief GH run a couple of years back, but did Donna Mills have any scenes with Leslie Charleson?

Members Paul Raven
Just read an old article about soaps dealing with homosexuality and it was stated that LIAMST briefly considered a lesbian storyline for Betsy Chernak.
Members amybrickwallace
Wow, that even predates Harding Lemay's efforts to write a gay storyline on AW. What year was LIAMST considering that story?
Members danfling
Before the character of Betsy was introduced, the writer of Love Is a Many Splendored Thing had considered making Andy into a homosexual character. Don Scardino returned to soap operas (after leaving The Guiding Light and a supporting role on As the World Turns) to play Andy. I suspect that his return was prompted perhaps by such a revolutionary character. I also wonder if he did not leave the role of Andy when the plans (from homosexuality to incest) changed. Rusty Thacker replaced Mr. Scardino, and his character fell in love with his half sister (played by Jody Blocker). The character of Betsy was introduced much later.
Members danfling
Two actors from Love Is a Many Splendored Thing who have passed away (without my knowledge until recently) are Rusty Thacker (who died on December 7, 2012) and Vincent Baggetta (who died on May 2, 2017). Mr. Thacker played Andy Hurley #2, and Mr. Baggetta played Dr. Pete Chernak #3. Interestingly, years later on One Life to Live, Michael Zaslo (who had played Dr. Pete Chernak #2) had to be away from the show for a while, and Vincent Baggetta was his substitute.
