He Was With Laura First, But their marriage crumbled after the reveal that Mike was Bill's Son (Via Rape)! So Mickey is Like "You SOB, you took her from me and didn't have the decency to respect her?"

Thank you very much! Those are years that I am unfamiliar with and would like To enjoy seeing the Final Years Of Kristian's Unmatched Beauty topped with some good acting!

I want to believe that Susan Flannery's Laura would have behaved exactly as Jaime Lyn Bauer's Laura did in those scenes.  Given everything that I have read about her years in Salem, however, I just can't.  Even if I were to accept that JLB's Laura behaved as she did because she had spent the last two decades in a sanitarium, or that she was then under the enormous influence of her "friend" Vivian and Ivan, a part of me still looks at those scenes and says, "Nah, Laura wouldn't act like that."

And for me, therein lies the problem.  Because as good as JLB was as Laura, at the same time, you have to pretend that she is playing a new character, one that has almost no connection whatsoever to the past.  To put it another way: yes, she is Laura Horton, but she is Laura Horton "in name only."  The Laura Horton that Flannery played ceased to exist a long time ago. (That's not on JLB, by the way.  That's on JER.)

I'm sad that no Susan Flannery episodes have ever surfaced of DAYS because I'm really curious how she played her - of course, she was great as the cold matriarch on Bold and the Beautiful; a role that seemed almost tailor-made for her, on the other hand on Dallas she had no chemistry with Larry Hagman and was one of the worst parts of an otherwise good fourth season. It just makes me wonder what her chemistry with on DAYS was with the male actors? Plus, I always thought Laura was rather "soft" as opposed to the cold steely excellence of Stephanie Forrester (in her prime years), so I wonder if she could really pull it off? She was seemingly popular after all.

Here I agree 100 percent. The show definitely has improved from the low points after 1994. And it's approaching a more familiar era where things are not as uncertain as before. Claudia in my opinion was very bad one dimensional character, that Bradley struggled with a lot. And I agree that Thorne's sudden love for Taylor was absurd. Maggie - another confused mess that never worked for me.  I don't agree with you here. I didn't like the Thorne-Taylor-Ridge thing and I think it was repetitive and stupid. And it made Taylor look incredibly Brooke-ish and overall bad. She was starting to lose her appeal during this time for me.  Stephanie-Lauren fight was iconic, but very rushed.  The Greenland storyline was absolutely horrifyingly bad and over the top.  This I agree 100 percent. Maggie didn't work from that moment on for me. The Psycho house stuff was laughable.  The twins stuff was bad. The acting was bad... Lauren looking like the bad twin is going to devour her 24/7 was too much for me. Eric was very cringe also in this storyline.  I agree. I liked the addition of Amber... and I also like Stephanie's revived feud with Sheila. What is to come is better and better. Overall - thank you so much for writing these reviews. They are super amazing and even when I differ in opinion, I love to read them! You have a talent for writing reviews!

Just couple of months ago. I'm so saddened right now.
    • I wasn't expecting this. Leslie was the first character I saw on GH when I started watching.

    • Thanks @Paul Raven . I love that she even drew up a petition. A shame she didn't get to finish out that storyline, although it seemed to become a mess anyway.
    • It's funny to think one of the only later mentions of Justin/Sarah was in The Guiding Plight. They had some decent chemistry in the 1976 episode put out on DVD.
    • Very. They're building up his story again and picking the perfect time to do so. As the SilkPress storyline climaxes and go off in several great directions, they are building up that story to take a turn.
