October 21, 201015 yr Member His show can be as white as the driven snow, he still produces the most honest and no talking point analysis of the news, sometimes doing the job of the newspeople who embarrass themselves by just reciting talking points and saying "some people say". You have a better chance of cutting through the bullshit with Jon Stewart than you do with David Gregory's Meet The Publicist show. There is also a difference between his show and all the others on that chart. He deals a lot with newsmaker guests of the political stripe, and for the most part that means white guys. I am sure if Obama or Hillary ever agreed to be his opening guest he would jump on it in a heartbeat.
October 21, 201015 yr Author Member I love Jon Stewart: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/blogs/live-feed/jon-stewart-cnn-wrong-fire-32023 As for Piers Morgan, the America's Got Talent judge who replaces King in January, Stewart mocked, "I think they made a brilliant choice by bringing in a British guy no one's heard of. When I'm thinking about floating a sinking ship, what do I want to bring on it? A guy that people are going to tune in and go, 'Who's that?' "
October 22, 201015 yr Member White, black, yellow, purple, green. The Daily Show/Colbert Report is still a huge elitist crapfest that liberals in coffeeshops publicly wank about to one another. You have a better chance of cutting through the bullshit with Jon Stewart than you do with David Gregory's Meet The Publicist show. There's nothing wrong with Meet The Press' format or the guests. There IS, however, something wrong with David Gregory. He and his huge ego need to be replaced.

I don't see what is terribly elitist or liberal about showing video proof of FOX news' hysterical commentary and the way they use agenda to distort the news. What about this is liberal?
