Hadn't seen this promo before.

Use to love those promos...I had forgotten about Joe Lando's appearance on GL.

I was about to put it in the GL thread too. The ATWT one is nice (I also had forgotten that cool spinning globe - much better than the theme at the time). The GL one had too many voiceovers and Joe Lando phoning it in.

I didn't realize that. I had stopped watching ATWT by the time he died and I was so shocked and hurt - I'm not sure any soap actor's death has ever affected me so much. I couldn't watch the memorial. I finally did a few years later, on Youtube. It was OK, I guess, although someone seemed so fixated on Hal having a bunch of kids (yet didn't bother to have several of them on the show).

I can't forget---he died right before my sister's wedding. I remember being so busy that week, running around, finishing up those little details---it was one of the few times I was both off-line and behind watching the 'sodes (honestly---I didn't care that much about Jennifer, period. Being the odd-woman-out of the Katie/Mike story and stuck in the hell-hole of Craig/Dusty/Paul---if there was ever a perfect storm of complete story suckitude with an actor I actually didn't loathe, that was it.)

I actually didn't find out he'd died for a couple of days. I was devastated. At that point for me, he was the heart & rock of the show.

I know there was a memorial for Ben Hendrickson, but I've never heard anything about it. I was curious about who attended, what was said, who spoke, etc. Have there been any written pieces about the memorial?

This isn't what you meant, but I remember when ATWT ended, Eileen Fulton said they went out and burned one of his toupees, to say goodbye to him.

Does anyone know if they are still updating the 2005 episodes on the Netherlands website? It is usually updated on Mondays and there are still no new episodes.
