Do NOT get me started on Andy and Trish, the Chamberlain kids or Ken's unexplored relationship w/ daughter Emily. Oh, the hours upon hours I spent fanwanking stories for those (and other) characters....

Victoria, then Melinda Fee.

Charlotte came to town pretending to be Sara McIntire's niece but that was actually a con. After this she got involved with Mike Bauer, as I think he pitied her. She got pregnant and they got married. She didn't like Hope and made that pretty clear. She had a miscarriage. Eventually she and Mike divorced and she wanted Sara's love interest, Dr. Joe Werner. She made the mistake of confiding in and using Kit Vested, who also wanted Joe, and was a headcase. Kit poisoned Charlotte.

That's one of those stories I want to see some of. I'd love to see Vicky Wyndham in the role, apparently it was quite nasty (which was one of the reasons she left, presumably, as she was wary of AW and Rachel because Rachel was another bitch role). Melinda Fee I have only seen later in her soap career, when she seemed a bit lost, although she was good in the Love of Life episode saynotoursoap posted which was from a few years before she started at GL.

I recall something about Vicky's comments on taking on the role of Rachel, that she didn't want her to be the one dimensional bad girl that Robin had played, that she had been unsatisfied playing that type of character before. She also commented on Connie Ford's initial resistence to a more sympathetic Rachel.

In a way, though, Justine Kirkland, Wyndham's other role on ANOTHER WORLD, made Charlotte Waring Bauer look like Reva Shayne Lewis.

The Brooks sisters on Y&R. I seen them fitting well with the late 80's til mid 2000's cast. Not much was done with Peggy but she would be a great love interest for Tucker.

The Quartermaine cousins (Alexandra & Cecila) I know one is dead but the other one had more story in her and been taken to new heights and brought on when tptb wanted to rebuild the quartmaine family here recently.

Dougie LeClair: Doug Williams' son on Days, one would think Hope is an only child on Doug's Side. Through the years Dougie could have been used in stories with Hope, Doug, Julie, and Hope's family. Dougie could have been resentful toward Doug and Jealous of Hope and Julie.

I don't think the sisters should have been phased out in the early 80's like they were. I understand that Lorie couldn't be replaced but I think they could have used Leslie. From what I understand, her character was dating some lawyer that fizzled out but I figured they could have used her to introduce Lauren and her father. She could have started dating Lauren's dad and have to contend with a spoiled daddy's girl. It would have worked given her tangles with her sister Lorie for many years. The twist could have been that she still would have had to share a guy but with his daughter instead of with her sister. Just think of the nasty tricks Lauren could inflict on Leslie plus I could have seen Leslie be an ally to Traci.

    • I pray⏤and I know it's a big prayer⏤that Noel Maxam is somehow able to figure things out budget-wise so we can stop re-dressing existing sets as "new" sets. I know in apartment buildings apartments can generally look the same, but I'm over it on this soap. The last time he was executive producer was in 2011 when the original Horton Town Square was introduced, and we had some other sets get introduced around this time (likely pre-commissioned prior to his election), but I'm trying to have some hope he can pull this off. Let's [finally] see it.
    • Definitely not the best of RC's breakdowns. I don't know what it says that I could pick up his trademarks yesterday 30 minutes in without even knowing that he did one. There was something more...quirky/boardstroked...about Dani. Though I love the Dani/Nicole scenes, she was just a little too hip?...which made me think back to the episode when she broke into Bill/Hayley's house. Then watching the episode later on, I saw Hayley was being used as a punchline to the more interesting and relevant Bill/Ted scenes (see you all were just talking about how you hoped they got scenes...one thing this show is great at...what people want on this board...they already have the foresight for it. The reason I feel the DNA test will get mentioned @Cheap21 in more detail). And then poor Anita reduced for the most part propping up an album.    Needless to say, not my favorite RC episode. And since we are in aftermath week, I just smh. And barely worth a rewatch. BUT...was there good for me?    Yes. Thankfully, we still got good aftermath beats regardless of the breakdown.   Like I said, I really like the Dani/Nicole scenes. But I love their dynamic. And I was looking forward to the shoe being on the other foot once the SilkPress storyline hit climax. Quirks aside, it did not disappoint. Dani came in, and she came in fierce for her sister. I loved her attacking Eva. And then her being surprisingly introspective about Nicole due to her own experience. No wonder Nicole reacted to her being self-aware. So did I.    Meanwhile Bill and Ted finally met up. I'm kinda sad that we did not get that sooner given the scenes that played out sidepiece in the background aside. It might have been interesting to see more of their status as non-Duprees coming into the family explored.    And of course I can't leave without mentioning Eva vs SilkPress Sheila which was the highlight. Both of them were giving. And SilkPress was just so cold with it. I did love that Eva finally stopped letting her gaslight her. Sad to see the duo break up. But I did love that she went to Ted. So...the next turn begins.   And speaking of turns...uh oh at Kat and Tomas. I'm sure he won't be staying away from her. So most definitely, Kat vs Eva ain't over. It will be interesting to see how it goes now that most people know that Kat was right all along.
    • Nah I enjoyed it much more last year because of the Harry plot that ended during that time. Nazar being introduced and them. But this time it is so lame and nothing I like forward to anymore and I’m one of them long time fans. Of course I would be upset if they would cancel it but maybe take a year off or two and return refreshed
    • came across this quote that provides some context: “It’s hard to escape the cultural reach of the Catholic Church when you live in the Western world. It is, for better or worse, one of the load-bearing walls of our civilization. Its influence wafts from the church into the streets of civic life, the courts, the schools, the arts.”
    • Yesterday's show:   Can they give Ambyr Michelle the Emmy for supporting actress already?   Truly enjoyed the episode from Leslie and Eva, Eva and Ted, Nicole and Dani to Anita and Nicole.

    • Yes, I noticed after discovering Chandler was in several episodes. It's a shame it was canceled. I'm glad I was able to watch Chandler's episodes.
    • I'm Catholic, and I care, as do many who aren't Catholic. No need to be so nasty about it.. The whole episode was on Paramount Plus. That is where I watched it..
