Skye is great today. "Well Carly, I just want to make sure we are alright. I know Jax and I have been spending ALOT of time together but I wanted to let you know that its going to continue" LMAO at her little fight wtih Carzilla.

I would say Carly hates Brenda more. Right now Skye is more of a little annoyance but I dont think Carly really views her as much of a threat. Brenda was a threat to her marriage to Sonny last time. One thing Carly thrives one is the power over the men in her life and the main ones are Sonny, Jason and Jax. All 3 of them are tied strongly to Brenda and Brenda has the ability to get the to drop whatever is going on in their lives to tend to her and protect her. Carly is second fiddle to Brenda and she knows it. For that reason alone she hates her.

Im not really sure if Brenda really hates Skye. She really has no reason to bc the last time she was on, Brenda came to town, destroyed her marriage and stole her husband. For that reason, Skye was obviously a bitch to her and had no problem expressing her feelings towards her. Brenda recirpricated it. When she comes back, she probably wont like Skye but really Skye never really did anything to her that wasnt provoked. She most definetly hates Carly though and that stems fom the fact that Carly was instrumental in breaking up Jason and Robin back in the late 90s. Brenda hated how Carly used Michael to worm her way into Jason's life which ultimately pushed Robin out.

What did Skye do to deserve Brenda to steal her husband, when you say that "wasn't provoked"?

And did Carly do anything to Brenda or is pretty much Brenda hates Carly because of Jason/Robin? Did Brenda actually steal any of the men from Carly?

The hate started because of Jason/Robin. There were fun scenes with Brenda and Carly when Sarah Brown was in the role where they would argue...this was when Carly was with Jason and Michael was a few months old. I remember the one where Carly told her to get a "designer straitjacket."

Skye did NOTHING! Brenda and Jax were engaged in 1998, when she went over a cliff and "died". Years later he meets and falls in love with Skye. He marries her in 2002 and on his wedding night he sees Brenda and gets shot and is temporarily paralyzed. Brenda completely disregarded Skye as his wife and acted as if she was the main woman in his life, showing up at his hospital room and not respecting Skye's place in Jax's life. I think she thought that now that she was back she could pick up and resume as if they were never seperated.

One of the reasons why Brenda stayed away was bc she thought she was dying. Her mother had this neurological disease which she thought she sufferd from. Skye went to Europe to speak to her doctor and found out that she wasnt sick. Skye assumed that Brenda had made it up and was using that to get closer to Jax. I cant remember why but Skye didnt instantly tell Jax this when she returned home. She was approached by Alcazar (the man Brenda was with during her time away)to help him get Brenda back and she agreed to it. I think Alcazar had paid the doctor to tell Brenda she was dying. Sonmehow the truth came out and Jax dumped Skye when he found out she knew that Brenda wasnt really sick. Brenda also tore into Skye for not telling her and used that as reason for not caring about going after Jax. It wasnt Skye's fault as Brenda should have gotten a 2nd opinion and the fact that she wasnt suffering from any symptoms should have been the first clue. She and Jax used Skye as an easy scapegoat but Skye really beleived Brenda was lying for sympathy.

Anyways Skye soon started drinknig again and hit rock bottom. In a disgusting display, Brenda went to her hom and taunted her and even poured her a drink while gloating about Jax. She was kicking Skye while she was down and from that moment on, I hated her. Heres a clip of one of their fights. Brenda was such a homewrecking bitch

I dont think Carly did anything specific to Brenda outside of beign a bitch to her. Brenda didnt steal any men from Carly, but Sonny kept getting drawn to her when Brenda came back. Right before Brenda left the show, Carly saw them kissing on the docks and that caused problems for her and Sonny.

yeah Brenda and Skye had no prior history for either to have any ill will towards the other. Brenda should have fell back and respected Skye's marriage and place in Jax's life instead of insinuating herself in the middle of them and proceeding to act as if she was Jax's wife. She was very smug arrogant about that. It was pretty apparent why Skye did not like her and I thougth she was jsutified bc Brenda overstepped her boundaries and she realyl didnt care

Loved Carly in this episode! She was fierce today! With the exception of her listening in on Patrick & Lisa's conversation at the end (WTH was she doing there anyways??), I thought she was awesome! I love biotch Carly.

LOL @ the face she made behind Robin's back after they were finished talking! I so want a little video avatar of that, I thought it was hilarious.

Also love Brook Lynn! I can't get enough of Adrianne Leon, I think she is great. Love Brook Lynn and Johnny Skidmarks together! They are adorable. Olivia walking to the pier and spying on them...usually, I am annoyed by stuff like this, but Olivia/Brook Lynn/Johnny would be pretty juice stuff to me! Brook Lynn just needs to handle her business with Carly first. I want her to tell Carly to go to hell, and forget about it. Why the heck is that plan to seduce Dante still in place?

Liz's baby got stolen, no surprise!! Obviously Helena had something to do with it, but she didn't have Aiden in her hands, so who does now?? It's clear Franco has something to do with it, to (66). I wonder how those two are connected.

Loved Matt shutting Maxie down. Everything he said was right. Now I hope that was the end of the mini Shelle reunion GH had going on. It just wasn't working, IMO.

LOL!! I have to admit, I laughed to. Just the way Michael's face looked. It's just to bad he had to let go sad.gif

Interesting he was dreaming about Carter. Theres definitely more to that story.

    • Beverlee was on a whole other level from Kim. It's not like they were in competition with each other. I get the feeling that Kim had a slight problem with the super-professional, serious cast members who just wanted everyone to be prepared and do the work, as she seems to like having fun on set. (She's made a few cracks about Chris Bernau being like that). Bev was definitely one of those. But they didn't work together that much. Yeah, they made her manic and also much weaker. She always had a vulnerability, but wanting to kill herself over that guy? No way. Not only that, he didn't leave her! She insisted he marry Maeve. When they did the tribute to Bert/Charita, the compilation of scenes with her showed how much the cast had been almost totally turned over in a relatively short period of time. Nearly every shot was of her by herself because most people she had worked with had been fired, left or been replaced. I assume they couldn't show her with people who hadn't been replaced, like Don Stewart, Elvera Roussel, or Robert Newman because they would have had to pay them for using their clips. It's dreadful to watch. Like she had no connection to the current show.

    • A little too much focus on Chad and Cat today but I enjoyed the episode. I have a feeling that Jennifer’s gonna get dumped on though, even though I think that her anger is completely understandable and justified. And honestly, Ron is finally gone; Abigail can come back now.  But, welcome back, Anna! It was nice seeing Carrie have scenes with her mother. Christie Clark and Leann Hunley have never really had that many scenes together and to see them have them now is really nice. I’m glad that both of them were there to comfort Marlena too. Their words were definitely the thing that Marlena needed to hear. Btw, with all this talk of Noah, does it mean that he’s gonna be introduced soon? Amy, revealing that John changed her flat tire many years ago seemed a little random though. I would rather she have said something about how everybody in Salem knows of John Black because of how he was always such a hero. But at the same time, her story also showed what a great guy John was.  I liked Kate’s scenes with Philip too, and her promise to get back at Xander for what he did. And since we didn’t see JPL in the bed, did he need some time off or something? And yeah, everything involving ‘One Stormy Night’ still seems very Ron-like to me.
    • The second photo featuring the late John Spencer is from the Law & Order episode, "Prescription For Death", which was the (second) pilot/first episode all the way back in 1990! He played the father of a daughter that had gone to the ER for a mere sore throat but ended up dead because the doctor on call was drunk and had given her medication that she had an adverse reaction to, after receiving some other medication. So, he will always have that great distinction in addition to The West Wing. (The first pilot, "Everybody's Favorite Bagman", was filmed in 1988! The show was offered to CBS, but they passed. In syndication, it is oddly placed as the sixth episode of Season 1. And Roy Thinnes played DA Alfred Wentworth there. When NBC picked up the show two years later, Thinnes declined to return, and that's how we got Steven Hill's DA Adam Schiff.)
    • exactly. I can understand schadenfreude if it were real, but a lot of this is just an engineered distraction.
    • Days of our Lives S60E204 – Thursday, June 5, 2025 Okay, today’s episode was kind of boring. It was nice seeing Jack and Jen back, but they wasted an entire episode on Jen chatting with Julie - one scene would’ve been enough. Also, why didn’t Jack and Jen go comfort Marlena? And wouldn’t a flashback with Jack, Jen, and John have been great? Maybe something from the Cruise of Deception era? Bottom line - it feels like once John’s memorial is over and the returning fan favorites leave Salem… the show’s going to be dull again.
    • Everything with Elon and Trump is a stunt. If people, and the sycophantic press, are talking about their "feud," they are not talking about Republican plans to gut Medicare, Medicaid, and the ACA.
    • I can't fully remember, but I don't think they tried to get Beth Chamberlin back. I think Laibson/McTavish likely saw Beth as old news and wanted to move Philip on; either that or have her return only when Philip was closely tied to a new woman. Thanks as always for these recaps. I think I had stopped watching around this time and mostly kept up by reading in the soap magazines. Bridget's degradation was horrible to watch, as the character had grown so much over the years and was clearly regressed just to be a foil for a "hot" couple viewers had zero investment in.
    • Having the majority of the cast on those low numbers is no way to tell story. And just 2 dayplayers for the month. So sad for the #1 soap.
