Don't know if posted, but Lisa LoCicero auditioned for both Lois and Kate before landing the role of Olivia.

Yeah; she auditioned opposite Wally Kurth. I'm pretty sure this was around the time Lesli Kay was cast in the role.

I remember many wondering why they picked Kay, who had to leave NY & ATWT for GH over LL 

 

i wonder if since she didnt get Lois, ABC just gave her the Part on OLTL

Tonya Crowe (Olivia, Knots Landing) was a finalist for Lois when GH cast Rena Sofer in 1993

I thought LK had already moved to LA. Didn't know Tonya Crowe had auditioned for Lois the first time.

If I remember what LK said, she wanted to move to LA to be near her husband and ATWT let her out of her contract ( and recast with Christina Chambers) and she quickly signed with GH.

However GH was close to signing LL as Lois but when Kay became available they gave her Lois. Maybe ABC felt bad and gave LL the OLTL role of Sonia

Steve Carlson tried out for Brock on Y&R before being cast as Mark Henderson.

Yep GH auditioned, Lisa, Lesley Kay (Who got the role) & Amy Van Horne who was Carla Solieto on The City

yes LL has said ABC Created the OLTL role for her

LL also said before getting Olivia, GH toyed with & talked to her about being a recast for Brenda Barrett. Glad they scrapped that

She would have definitely worked as Lois or even Tea Delgado! It just dawned on me that they may be trying to recreate Ned/Lois with Olivia and Ned with the whole preppy WASP marries Brooklyn Italian aspect.
