Members Sylph
That's not a fact. It's just one of those silly things fans think is incredibly important, but is just bzzzzzzz.
Members Khan
Can anyone explain how Eden Riegel's best on-screen partner always turns out to be Elizabeth Hendrickson? Seriously, how does that happen?
Members BadZoe
Hardly any actor on Y&R is going to shine these days when the writing is as shitty as it is. Just look at the other day, they had to bring in Jill to try and generate some interest in the "Lily's Decision" story. At a time when they should be relying on their vets to keep the audience invested they are handing the show over to crappy newbies. Is there any word on if that was the last we ever see of Daisy? I am living in fear of hearing her voice again.

Members catsmeouch
Hmm, I didn't know you were the Queen of All Soaps, looking down on us "peasants" for what we think is important.
Members Cheap21
IA. Jamie Luner has turned into one of my favorite recasts as Liza on AMC and she looks NOTHING like Marcy alker who came before her
Members lovely_m
If they change his character some fans will complain that he's become too boring. Plus, this regime really like the character just as he is.
Members DRW50
The longer he's with Victoria the more they're going to hear that anyway. Marcy left 5 years before Jamie was cast. If Jamie had turned up a few weeks after Marcy left she may not have had much of a chance.
Members Cheap21
Not with me. I hated Marcy Walker in the role and JL was a big improvement, especially considering I was already a fan of hers
Members dragonflies
JL is horrible as Liza, not a good actress at all. Sad when the girl who plays Colby can act circles around JL(as do most of the cast) To me she doesn't have to look like MW, the turn off is that Liza was de-aged so much. We're supposed to buy she went to school with Tad, Jesse and Angie? Uhm no
Members DRW50
So your feelings weren't based on appearance, it was more on not liking Marcy Walker and already liking Jamie Luner. I can understand that. But I think it's more of an adjustment if someone doesn't dislike the original actor in the role and don't know the person taking over. Most people watching Y&R probably have little idea who Eden Reigel is and even with all the "hair model" putdowns I think a lot of viewers didn't have a problem with Vail Bloom. Members lovely_m
I think it was the soap press and blogs that had more of a problem with her than fans did.
Members DRW50
The same soap press and blogs that treated Eden as a Y&R superstar before she filmed one scene. They seem to be much more enthralled by this ABC IN GENOA CITY YAY WOO!!! stuff than the actual viewers. Being good on ABC doesn't mean anything on Y&R. Members catsmeouch
Somewhat off-topic, but here's how I'd retcon the Sarah/Ryder/Daisy stuff without too much trouble. Sarah Smythe is not Sheila Carter's sister because Sheila was an only child. Sheila and Sarah met at nursing school and became friends. Sarah idolized Sheila, but Sheila never cared that much about Sarah. During Sheila's time in Genoa City when she stole Scotty, Sarah got involved with Tom Fisher-Callahan and got pregnant with twins. After Sheila was presumed dead in the barn fire but before she turned up in LA, she took refuge with Sarah. Since Sarah was crazy, she told Sheila she could raise her twins after they were born because she felt bad about her losing Scotty. Sheila declined, but crazy Sarah decided to raise the kids herself as if they were Sheila's biological children. This allows Daisy and Ryder to be related to Kevin without undoing Sheila being an only child and first meeting Tom in 2005. Plus, with Sarah and Tom dead and with no connection to Sheila, there's no reason to ever bring back Ryder and Daisy...although Ryder should return as a troubled anti-hero because he's so hot.
