Agreed on Wendy. On one hand, I'm glad she's not the perennial outsider anymore. On the other hand, her becoming the friendly middleman Switzerland in most of the feuds doesn't ring true. And, as much as I always wanted to like her, I think overall she doesn't have the most likeable onscreen personality. ITA that Wendy has never had the most likeable personality (and lord knows she has stiff competition on this show!). But honestly, I'd rather we got Wendy back from her first season. Humourless, I'm-better-and-more-educated-than-you-hoes Wendy, i believe, was the most genuine Wendy. She didn't like Karen, and we've just seen a glimpse of that again in this trailer. Like you, I cringe at the Switzerland stuff because it feels insincere, and the 'wit' pales alongside that of her castmates because fundamentally, Wendy doesn't have a sense of humor. She's not self-deprecating and cannot laugh at herself. She is just too careful in how she comes across. I preferred when she ran her mouth that first season and got in trouble with the audience for picking the wrong team. At least we knew that's how she really felt.

Exactly! Everyone at least knows about the drama with Kenya. So they could have easily got ahead and started to tease that...like Puppygate on BH S9. Have it shown for half of that trailer and BOOM! the exit...just like LVP. And then the other half is the recovery with Porsha/Shamea holding it down with the 3 newbie spotlight...ending on Shady Phae Phae...just like Camille owning the last half of S9. With the other storylines littered through that format. It writes itself.

Seating position at the RHOP reunion is interesting. Mia gets first seat, as does Gizelle. But I think Gizelle only got first seat by default. Karen would have got it if she'd shown up.

But that was GOOD. Just like Brynn on NY (who also will be getting her lashings from Rebecca and she ate, too from a released clip), everyone coming for Mia and her getting lashings...yes, please!!! Gizelle has a lot to make up for with that. And Wendy is bringing up MIAMI.

 

So La Dame did do a video. And she appears accountable and that was all that I wanted so good.

 

If Stacey is going to do ONE thing, she will keep her heel on Ashley's neck so I'll give her that. 

 

As for Wendy...I loved Too Much Wendy from the S6 Reunion so I'm down for her to be that way at this one. I was LIVING.

While I also think it was default as well, Gizelle I feel has put in the work this year. And while the main fight was Messy Mia vs La Dame, Gizelle finally coming out into the open midseason to come for Mia...it fits just as good.

I completely disagree with those comments about Shamea. Shamea has always been a good addition to the show. She didn't have explosive moments like Marlo but certainly memorable ones. 

Now that Shemea’s a main housewife watch her upstage and become a fan favorite. She's full of personality, well-connected in Atlanta, and has many jobs. She has money, she has a husband, and a child, and I believe her story will touch the viewers. 

I love that Atlanta is being anchored by Porsha and Shamea who have been friends since childhood. 

 

I like Shamea and am interested to see how she does on the show. I liked the trailer and thought the show has energy in a way it hasn't in years. It will be interesting to see if its sustained throughout the season and whether we see a big difference once Cynthia and Phaedra join...they both seem like last minute additions to spice it up.

The reunion trailer actually looks good. Miles ahead of the season for sure, I can not wait to kiki at them all interacting with Karen’s picture frame.

I don't enjoy Wendy. I tried, but I never really have. She is not nearly as clever as she likes to think she is. The only storyline she had this year was a birthday party. She just dreams up a fake career changed and year after year feeds us nothing real. If she was cut from the cast nobody would notice.

It's clear that Bronwyn is a huge liar. The jewelry, the "affair" Todd had...like good lord.

Meredith's dramatics are tiresome. When she said she was going to leave my only reaction was "Okay."

Mary and Angie have a beautiful, real deal, friendship.

I love that the editors are keeping their foot on Kyle's lying, hypocritical neck. That montage they did of Kyle insisting other people be 'open and honest' while she's closing up and denying...perfection.

I also love that Boz is loyal to Dorit and calls out Kyle's crap without hesitating.

Well that ended with an awful display of animal cruelty with those canisters going off on those poor dogs...plus Wendy adopting a dog without talking to her husband...very bad move.

That wig Stacey had on was another bad move. That thing looked crispy.

Ashley had exactly no storyline this season. Just as she hasn't for years. I dare say it's time for her to get the axe.

Gizelle and Karen had me cracking up while Stacey flubbed her pronunciations - they are so good as friends.

Wendy being so sure that Karen trashes her yet invites her to the White House? Either she understands this is the HW Game, or she's really desperate.

TJ seems really awful and really mean. What was Stacey thinking?

For the record...Karen is correct. Mia *isn't* Potomac. She's trash.

Part 2 of the Reunion was just as solid as Part 1. Though I admit...I liked NY's better.  

 

This part had a lot of the things that I just don't like about reunions. Andy not letting topics breathe. Lisa and Heather continued to be mean girls and try to gang up on Bob. And honestly, Heather just needed to STFU. Just popping in on other people's topics because she had not a thing to talk about herself.

 

But there were also good moments. Mary's whole segment which had me crying throughout. Then there was Andy being messy by having the last part of the reunion be about the Mary/Meredith friendship where they argued a bit, hugged it out, and then a new leg of the Meredith/Angie K rivalry was hinted at. It seem clear that Meredith really did not like how close Mary/Angie K have gotten. And there was of course, all things Bob as she talked about her husband and their marriage. And the amount of Monica mentions this episode were insane. With rollback from Production (and Andy's earpiece). 

 

LISA. Girl, you know you didn't give Bob an apology!! smh. I think Mary said it best.  Lisa was coming across like she was jealous of Bob. Outside of those last five episodes, Bob's had a good freshman season. She came transparent. And that made her 1...better than most of them and 2...a FAN FAVE. And that clearly burned Lisa given how she came into this reunion like she was throwing Bob under the bus. I mean outside of her being checked by Bob's Hubby, being right about one of the rollbacks, and having steam come out of her ears at the Mary/Angie K friendship, she didn't really give anything this part.

 

HEATHER. 

 

MEREDITH. I giggled when Bob's Hubby rolled his eyes at her being so overdramatic when they were discussing Monica and those Season 4 clips. But respect for her about to do a walk out until Andy and Production found those clips to show what was said. Once a lawyer, always a lawyer. Not sure if that means Seth doesn't have a sidepiece, but it did show she still knows her verbatims...and that she came ready at the reunion. Outside of that, there appeared to be a slight jealousy over Mary/Angie K's growing friendship. Especially that Mary confided in Angie K about her son over Meredith. And there was Andy stirring the pot. I found that whole segment very interesting because for me it felt like a visual version of last week's 'social friend' conversation. Except Mary and Meredith hold each other higher than Lisa to Bob.

 

LITTLE GIRL. I wished she had found her Ashley Darby during this part. The one thing she had that I noticed was how she fell apart herself during Mary's segment on her son. It really hit home with her. And I liked Mary still kept having her back. 

 

ANGIE K. God bless her for being there for Mary. Outside of small bouts with Meredith, she just seem like she was there to support Mary. I didn't mind that. Or her FOINE husband.  

 

MARY. MVP of this part. Her segment was very telling. Everyone cried...including the audience cuz I was sitting there crying and Andy. So it was VERY noticeable that Lisa WAS NOT. But ignoring her. It was very well done. And Mary still said her piece when she could. And she had Little Girl's back. And I thought their scene was sweet. And I loved the Angie K stuff with her as well. Even she knew Andy was being a little messy with her and Meredith.

 

BOB. Love her classy way of saying STFU to the Irrelevant One. lol. Still brought the real. The reveal that Bob's Hubby did not know that the reason Bob found out he was cheating was because Gwen saw it on his phone by accident. Oooh, his face. And he don't watch the show. Thankfully, she appears to let him know what to expect ahead of time so he's not completely blindsided though. I found the segment on her marriage intriguing for sure. And that there's love there.

 

Part 3 looks interesting, but is it wrong that I'm more interested in NY and RHOP's reunion? lol. I guess the air has been let out a bit.

RHOP was a chaotic fun finale just the way I like it! Stacey has solidified her spot by going after Karen and she held her own! I GAGGED when Karen said "Im sipping" and Stacey said "sipping on what?" as she took a drink of her wine. Oh and you cant tell me no different but Karen was DRUNK at the even. She was spewing nonsense and Cal was looking at her crazy. She is such a liar and Im glad Wendy didnt beleive her

 

Ashley and Gizelle were both being messy but that is their role and Im glad Ashley finally stepped back into being the bone carrier. They produced the hell out of that finale.

TJ is a scrub and Iim glad no one sees it for him

Oh and did anyone see Robyn on WWHL? I think she did very well. She had a much lighter energy and her chemistry with Gizelle was fun. Dare I say it but I think she will be back next season even if its as a friend of.

I'm not sure Gretchen understands this nuance, and while I welcome the Shannon-Gretchen-Jen alliance, she could also mess things up badly like Alexis did. 

I think what will be different is Gretchen will have Allies this time that are also sick of Tamra. In the past the ladies mostly stood by and supported Tamra’s cruisades against Gretchen. And Slade really did suck.

I could not agree more. She is so just there and not humorous at all. I wouldn’t miss her at all and her being gone wouldn’t mess with the group dynamics at all.
