I happen to catch this yesterday and last week's eppy, and B always manages to watch a different show than everyone else.  Cynthia is an over botoxed jealous has been trying to hold onto a peach.  These women use "bitch" all day every day, but suddenly swollen face has an issue?  WTFever!

Kenya is as desperate as ever to be the Queen.  She throws shade all day but can't have it thrown back at her.

Kandi was the voice of reason during the entire boat ride.

The blonde who loves her Hitler husband can go now!  Kandi cracked me up when she was the last to leave and said "y'all aint leaving me with this chick by myself".

Shemia(sp) is a keeper.  I'm sure Kenya would have a problem with that, but so what?

Porsha's body = GOALS

Love Sheree and Kenya as frenemies and the fun shade they are throwing at each other. I thought Kenya was going over to her house to be messy at first but they both had me laughing

Phaedra is right. Porsha is working way too hard for her little boy

Why does Kandi's furniture look so gaudy? And she's only 4 months? She looks like 6-7

Kenya: "She dont know what shade is? Girl you just threw a tree on top of this car" Tammy is THIRSTY. Kandi should pay her dust

Kandi is so damn messy. Why is she ALWAYS spilling someone elses' tea? She should have kept Cynthia's business to herself

OMG, Kim Fields was so damn shady with her talk about class. Let her say that mess to Marlo's face. LMAO at her "Bye" talking head. She's learning how to react to shade.

Porsha was disrespectful with the bitch comment. She should have just apologized. I do think Cynthia got too turned up and I believe its her issues with Peter that got her so sensitive. LMAO at the editing for that ending.

The whole altercation was due to miscommunication. Kandi was shady for stirring the pot and then giggling her way through Cynthia's rant at Porsha. She got what she achieved, but nobody is going to call her out about it because she is about to pop out a kid. On a side note, Kandi's hair is the best it has ever looked, and I am pretty much here for Miss Grumpy dragging her ass to these events and just not feeling it unless a buffet table involved.

Basically, both Cynthia and Porsha were tipsy, and Cynthia was probably irritated by Porsha after she did her Jamaican twerky thing. Porsha probably meant well and was only trying to make Cynthia laugh but she is hardly Miss Observant. The bitch thing came out wrong but Cynthia was wound up by that point and was going to take it badly. When Porsha sat down on Cynthia's deck chair, I thought she was going to take Cynthia's hands and calm the whole thing down. However, even if apologizing would have kept the peace at a boat party (for Cynthia no less), it didn't happen and degenerated into finger-pointing (on Porsha's part) and slapping fingers away (on Cynthia's). And the way Bravo edited it, Porsha does not look good. She got up and brought her knee down towards Cynthia before Bravo decided to cut it at that moment.

I don't think Porsha intended at all to start any fights that day, and I actually don't mind her this season. However, she does seem to think she has a 'street tough' rep to uphold -- even though Porsha ain't about that life. She thinks getting handsy shows the other HWs not to mess with her, but this is the second time Porsha has jumped up at someone and the second time she had to, embarrassingly, be wrestled to the floor.

This Tammy person is ratchet and Shamea is out to needle Kenya in the hopes of getting a peach. Glad these two did not get one in the end.

Sheree deserves a peach just for that frenemyship scene between her and Kenya at the beginning.

UGH thank you for reminding me how much I despised that fake ass Amanda bitch. At least Ronnie is no longer close with Jody who was truly evil.

And sad that Mary and Ronnie never made up but Ronnie messed her around so much, while Jody and Amanda literally tortured the poor woman, I don't blame her for not wanting the toxic back in her life.

Same, I loved Ronnie and think she would actually fit in with BH. She has exactly the kind of lifestyle they are looking for.

On the downside, none of these franchises would be good for Ronnie's struggle with alcohol (and pills, the great unspoken in that interview you kindly posted). I do like seeing how much more lucid, direct, and strong Ronnie seemed in that interview -- she always was a bit of a sad-eyed fragile bird at times on RHoV. I hope this means she is in a better place. Having said that, she has this mysterious vibe to her personality and think she is a great 'character' for the HWs. I am used to seeing her outdoors in her amazing Vancouver estate so I always imagine that BH with its hectares of real estates would suit her more than a Park Avenue apartment on the 68th floor.

Yep, that's what I saw. The knee about to come down on Cynthia's body. And Porsha fans may claim that this is all "bad editing" by Bravo, but there is no getting around Porsha jumping up and aiming to push her knee down on Cynthia.

And I say this as someone who felt that Porsha was kind of hard done by at the start of the argument. Cynthia over-reacted and Porsha was thoughtless rather than aggressive when she called her 'bitch' (which the ladies were jokingly calling each other all afternoon). But getting physical is not the answer to this dumb argument.

To me, it just looked like Porsha was getting up. I'm not saying she wasn't going to get in Cynthia's face or be aggressive, but it didn't appear at all, to me, like she was going to knee Cynthia, it looked like she was standing up over the chair.

Either way, Cynthia is the one who got physical here, not Porsha. When Porsha dragged Kenya, most fans of the show justified it by pointing out that Kenya had been all in Porsha's space with the scepter and the bullhorn, and y'all shouted from the mountaintops that "violence still isn't the answer". Now Porsha gets in Cynthia's face (after Cynthia was in hers, no less), and y'all are saying Cynthia was justified to physically attack her.

Come on, y'all. At least be consistent. You can't just bend the rules for the people you like.

Thank you! Kandi started that whole thing; she sat back and watched the flame scorch the earth.

She should lose her peach. Porsha stays in physical altercations and she escalated matters even worse.

Poorsha fans are too busy threatening and harassing Cynthia and Peter's social media accounts. People take this show too seriously.

People are being consistent. At no point at that reunion was Kenya about to physical assault Porsha by putting her hands on her nor was there any indication that she was. Poorsha's attack on her wasnt self defense. From what we see her, Cynthia's is. Her attitude was off and she was heated but if someone is about to knee her, is she supposed to sit there and take it? Its a natural human reaction to react in defense and thats what she does. She isnt kicking Porsha for giggles

Girl, nobody was about to knee anybody, until Cynthia up and knee'd Porsha for no reason. Cynthia was a drunken fool.

Sidenote, Cynthia looks terrible in her new talking head. She usually has the best ones but wow her eyes are literally almost on the side of her forehead. Girl needs to stop, she looks like an entirely different person.

Also, what was that shade Cynthia tried to throw at Porsha, something about a fake chin? I didn't get that.

Honey, the evidence don't lie. Porsha was getting up to scrap. The screencap shows that she put her knee up with the intention to do physical harm.

And let's not bring up the bullhorn incident again b/c Porsha was in no threat of being harmed by any of those props. If anyone should've been pissed about the props, it should've been Cynthia, who's space was being invaded by Kenya. Not Porsha. Porsha got pissed and wanted to fight b/c Nene and Phaedra laughed previously when Kenya told Porsha to spell scepter and when Kenya called her a dumb ho. Porsha was feeling like a dunce yet again and wanted to scrap.

Mr. Vixen, c'mon now. Please rewatch. They were slapping fingers then Porsha got up and brought her knee in there (see below)! Cynthia wasn't kicking anybody at that point!

And I am consistent -- I can understand Porsha being frustrated but physicality wasn't the answer then and it isn't now. I haven't SEEN Cynthia getting physical yet so I will respond to that next week after I watch it.

    • 6-5   Case in point...lol.   Kat and Jacob can soooo have a spinoff. Just watching her being adamant that Eva is up to no-good while Jacob continues to try to play straight man to the craziness continued to be a hoot to watch. And the sad part is that Kat is on the right trail, just following the wrong clues. Or worse coming to the wrong conclusion. All because of her dislike for Eva.    Meanwhile, Eva continued to make inroads. I know I have said this since the start of the show, but I love how for the most part, the writers write the characters in gray. Not completely white. Not completely black. Most of the characters have moments where they resonate with the audience and then have moments where they are unlikeable. Like technically, Eva should be a pariah. I like that she knows this, understands this, and still shows remorse and still tries to work to get back the lost trust. It makes her so rootable. And played by a star is a bonus.

It is also what makes the rivalry between Eva and Kat so much fun to watch. Also played by a star. Neither one is perfect really, but they are oh so watchable and a nice by-product of the SilkPress storyline.    Same for Anita. I love the regal coldness TT has given to the role. The sense of ruthlessness beneath the beautiful face. And yeah it can be a turn-off. And it's been nice to see a softer side to her throughout this story of her and her bandmates. She is far from perfect. She...is also NOT a doormat so it was great to watch her versus her bandmates this episode.    I like the run-in between NuTed and Nicole. I'm getting used to NuTed. And Nicole's presence has been a little too light for my liking. I can only assume that is to build to the next Nicole vs Silk Press Sheila confrontation which rumor has it will be another good one.    Speaking of which...LAURA IS OUT OF THE HOSPITAL!!!! Praise it be!!! And I thought it was so adorable that Nicole, Kat, and Mona were on hand to welcome her back. I liked that Laura has an open mind toward Eva (unlike her feelings toward SilkPress). Another layer to add to the Eva vs Kat rivalry.
    • Victoria Principal clearly stacked her Dallas coins real good. In the grand scheme of things, she was smart to walk away from Dallas when she did.
    • When Robert Calhoun became EP I thought GL was finally hitting its stride after some pretty rough years. Unfortunately the ratings during Robert Calhoun's run did not reflect the quality of the show.
    • There was a five week break between the last Friday episode and the Thursday episodes which were the final four episodes. I have a feeling the final four episodes were refilmed to wrap up the storylines.
    • Yes, I forgot there was a gap between his exit from GL and his start at ATWT. This almost makes me want to cry. He really turned ATWT around (and good for them). It would have been great if someone had done the same for GL. Can't imagine who. The Dobsons were doing Santa Barbara at this point. I mainly blame Kobe. She may not have been the worst EP they ever had, but she almost totally destroyed the Bauers and decimated much of the rest of the cast, sometimes for egotistical reasons. That was a huge mistake and made it that much harder for the show to recover.
    • Douglas Marland began at As the World Turns in September 1985 but it took about a year for his run to show growth in the ratings. 1986 As the World Turns becomes CBS's #2 daytime drama after Y&R.
    • This is not at all surprising. Watching the recently uploaded episodes, the uneveness is SO apparent. Characters are changing at the drop of a hat. The stories are close to incoherent. It's a mess, and we're only up to May. What a fall from grace. An Emmy-winning show with good ratings and within a few short years hitting possible cancelation territory.  I'm surprised CBS and/or P&G didn't try to do SOMETHING to restore its former glory. Was Marland still at ATWT at this point?
    • I think she did, yes. The only part of that return I remember appreciating was the ripoff they did of Earrings of Madame De, where a secretly broke India sold a trinket and Ross or Alan (I think it was Ross) then bought it for her, not knowing it was hers.
    • 6-4   Getting around to the rewatching and I guess Dani/Bill/Hayley as A story is coming around better to me. I hope that means that I will feel different about Friday's episode which first time around I felt was more of a Wednesday/Thursday episode. Anita's story and Dani/Bill/Hayley (with Kat vs SilkPress being a solid B plot to keep the SilkPress storyline alive, but NOT A story) have been the focus for this past week. So I'm worried I'll feel a way when I get back to Friday's episode. I guess I'm about to find out.   I know I have issues with Dani/Bill/Hayley coming back into focus since the much better paced SilkPress storyline is truly where it's at with so much aftermath/new direction to explore. However, I'm finding that...just like with the story of Martin's secret being slowly woven back into the story narrative...I care a little bit more for it since it's been background since Week 3, Month 1. IMHO the characters...outside of Hayley...have been developed in other plots. The past week and a half has had Dani and Andre growing closer and they have gotten to the 'third month what are we?' talk that I expect in all relationships in real life. And I liked how the writers have slowly had friction between them to see what they are made of? Is it still just a booty call or can it be more? Meanwhile, Bill has been hiding his physical issues for months. Too busy messing with other people's marriages.

So now that they have some more POV to them, it was good to see an organic...and yes, it was organic...reason for them to be in the same room. In this case...the hospital room. Lord, Karla and Timon have such great chemistry. And Dani and Bill were so acting like exes. No wonder Hayley feels threatened. Oh, well. lol. Bonus...the drama with Bill has Hayley and Naomi back in each other's orbit. They don't have enough scenes together.    You all know I was waiting for Anita's story. So how am I feeling? Pretty good. TT has been playing it to the hilt. And I was not expecting the story of a fourth member who killed themselves after being pushed out. And it's had a build. First through Tracy. And now with Sharon...who is swiftly being established as a piece of work. A Have-Not (if not Has-Been) who is not above scheming. Okay. lol. I liked the conversation between Anita and Vernon where she told him the truth, and he tried to hold her up. Whether she deserved it or not, it was good to see. I'm sure all of the secrets are not out yet so I look forward to more. Cuz we know they are not cancelling the reunion. Which fingers crossed...will be at the police fundraiser.     Honestly, I continued to be impressed with how the writers have kept Silk Press Sheila out of jail, but still playing the beats of it all. She's definitely in covering her tracks mode, and it's great to watch. It's also great to see her mixing it up with different characters. I was happy to get the long-awaited showdown between her and Nosy Nurse and Nosy Nurse READ...HER...DOWN. I was just disappointed Nosy Nurse spilled some tea. And that led to SilkPress's scene with Andre. And then Andre...lord...talked too much.   C plot this episode has been Chelesa's love life. I was wondering where it was going to go after her talk with Vernon. Enter...Mystery Woman. I wonder what her secret would be that would get in her way with Chels. Related to an enemy of the Duprees? Married? I am intrigued. And I do like Chelesa getting the spotlight because daytime does not really do it like how they are doing it with her.    Can Kat and Jacob get a spinoff? lol.
