And not a moment too soon! I will miss my Dr. Nicole, though.

On Sunday, there was discussion on this thread of a possible 'pause period' in the RH schedule. Last year we had April and most of May a RH-free zone and, as much as I b!tch about these shows, RH Lent gave me acute withdrawal. I was watching The Valley, for God's sake. When RHODubai started, I fell upon it like it was the chocolate Easter bunny!

This year, we no longer have Dubai (unfair IMO), nor NJ (fair), and RHONY is figuring itself out (and hopefully saying bye-bye to the EP), so I was concerned we'd be 3 months' away from any new RH show. I cannot wait for the Miami trailer to drop.

In other news, SLC is already back from the cast trip in Australia (!!!), Bronwyn is still on the show and still in the drama, and I can't wait for the new season to start as well.

Yep, thankfully I don't think we'll have a completely RH-free zone this year, but we won't have multiples going on at the same time like we've had.  We'll have Miami starting in June, with Atlanta still running and closing out mid-summer.  I'm guessing OC will be next, starting late summer (August?), and then Potomac starting fall (Sept/Oct?), and then SLC in winter (Nov?).  Hopefully by then, they'll have NJ and NYC figured out and filming.

IMO - The Valley turned out to be a goldmine and one of the best shows on Bravo last year.  This new season that just started seems to be just as good, if not better!  I'm so excited for it.

The Valley was pretty soapy, I must say. The vibe gave me The Hills, but with millennials. Your recommendation is making me want to check out S2.

Yes, it's a shame we won't have a two-RH tag-team. I feel like there is strength in numbers. ATL and MIA will be holding up the fort for June at least.

RHOBH:

I haven't watched the show in a season or two, but I had some thoughts on the Garcelle departure situation.

- Ericka stating that Garcelle doesn't share her life on the show made me laugh considering Kyle and Ericka have both been guilty of not sharing any details and becoming almost mafia like when anyone broaches the subject of their personal lives.

- Garcelle's first season on the show was basically her sharing her life and not being around the group quite as much.  In fact, some of the women made it a point to paint Garcelle as being stand offish and not wanting to associate with the other women.. so Garcelle course corrected in the follow up season.

- Garcelle became a target starting with her 2nd season on the show when she rightfully raked Rinna over the coals for how she threw Denise under the bus.  What was telling was when Garcelle asked how she could be sure Rinna wouldn't pull the same thing on her like she pulled on Denise.. and Rinna said 'I'm better friends with you'.  Garcelle knew to be on her guard after that conversation, especially when Rinna admitted she isn't trustworthy.

- I think the dragging Roz did to both Garcelle and Sutton put Garcelle in a bad headspace.. and when Sutton seemed willing to go back for more abuse from the other women.. she basically was over the whole reunion and walked out as quickly as she could once the toast was completed.

- If Tilly is smart, she doesn't come back for another season in a friend of nor housewife role... because she might have a Rinna pulled on her by Sutton.. or she could pull a Rinna on Sutton.

I agree with all of this, and sadly the ladies couldn't see or understand that when Garcelle started feeling a certain way during the reunion.  Garcelle was just fed up and done and I don't blame her.  It sucks.

I got some RHOSLC  tea! Meredith allegedly go suspended fo getting into a physical fight with Brittani and thats why she got a snowflake. Basically they gave her the Keairna treatment. Allegedly she also went on a nasty tirade against the entire cast. Stay tuned as Im sure the blogs will be picking this up soon

That is some JUICY tea. And it is also want Britani wanted.

And lest we forget, Britani got into it twice with the whole cast. One where she cried her way ot of it and the other one she held her own.

And also...Jared IS filming with the husbands.

She's winning.

BH

I don't think Garcelle is completely honest about why she is leaving. I get it, she was frustrated with them and was ready to dip, but why wait until the very last moment? She could have stayed for the picture and still had her moment in the dressing room.

This took me out. I need a Housewives animation series like yesterday. It could totally work.

Not my Meredith. This is exciting, cause some felt she didn't give much last season. Good for her!

You guys make me wanna tune in.

My body is READY.

Same. I did 5 minutes after the reunion and all I took from it was that there were a lot of eye candy surprisingly. Even Jax's face work has settled. And I've always liked Crazy Kristen. But their personality were meh. And I don't like the gay friend.

I felt so bad for her. Man, you could tell even before Part 3 that she knew she was DONE with this mess of a show after that day. My hubby was cussing Dorit out left and right. Meanwhile, you had Good-Bi Kyle all but coming out, yet correcting Andy when he tried to relate, saying he remembered how it was when he came out "Oh, I didn't say I came out" Good-Bi Kyle responded. I'm all about people coming to terms with their sexuality on their own, but the double-talk and innuendos were obnoxious.

I do *love* Jennifer Tilly, but I get what you guys are saying about her getting dragged down into the mud if she were to return next season. I'd rather see her go back to acting and do something silly and fun with Jennifer Coolidge or something.

Overall, Part 3 felt icky, but I loved hearing Garcelle's words at the end in her dressing room (was that a motel they were all getting glammed up at?). She's right about all of them. Damn. After Lisa Vanderpump, she was my favorite. I would've much rather we had Garcelle stay, Vanderpump return, and the 3 remaining coven members take a hike.

... Oh, and STFU about Terri, who STILL takes time to makes digs against people like Garcelle for not reaching out to her during her cancer treatments. Y'all aren't friends! I wouldn't reach out either. Meanwhile, Dorit's dumbass who supposedly is friends with Terri said she'll reach out after the storm has settled on Terri's recovery. Any good friend knows they need support during the hellish time. Ugh.

End of rant

    • -- Tamara Tunie was good today, but can we hold back on handing out Emmys? I'm not seeing that yet. -- So Anita has Barbara's entire letter committed to memory, yet it took her DECADES to reach out to Tracy and Sharon? Uh....ok. I don't get the impression that THE DUPREES spent a lot of time thinking about the little people. -- We again heard "Articulettes Strong," this time in the letter. Make it stop already. -- I'll wait and see on this "Anita's Sin" story. My bottom line is that it's unfair to point blame when someone takes his/her own life. -- I thought Tomas looked fine af in that suit today, and that the fit was perfect. -- Why is Basic Ashley kissing her boyfriend while at work in the hospital? I find that inappropriate and ridiculous. Ashley still doesn't act like someone in love. -- The 3-way conversation among Ashley, Derek, and Andre was awkward as hell. -- Hayley was embarrassing for taking her pregnancy test to Dani's. Dani is embarrassing to harp on it. These two need to stay away from each other. -- Dani treats Andre like crap. What he sees in her beyond the physical, I have no idea. No way is either of these two in love. -- Also clueless? Bill and Hayley for thinking Naomi would love hearing about the pregnancy.
    • Susan Lucci was on bereavement vacation because her on screen mom had recently passed away so she was off canvas when this tornado occurred.
    • Thanks @YRfan23 Wow I didn’t realize the cast has gotten that tiny either which is absolutely pitiful.    Surprised that Budig is still on as Taylor barely watched any lol tbh but nonr of the recent daily recaps ever mention her anymore I figured she was out the door soon.
    • I love the yellow bumpers with the crew lol. That's Donna Lewis as the music at the beginning! I haven't heard her in ages. R.J. and Tea were so hot and so underrated. I remember seeing the bit with the Buchanan men promising to show Max a good time in his bedroom and it's still hysterical.
    • I think a lot would've gotten over it the same way they got over the Trina recast, especially since it became swiftly clear NAC is never coming back. The key issue, we agree, is Frank. As long as Trina is onscreen he's not touching that. As for Nikolas, honestly I'd kill him off. Adam Huss has done a wonderful job in a very difficult situation but I don't think he has leading man power for a soap opera (not because he's gay, but he's very intense and I don't think it translates to potential lighter or romantic material; his flirting with Ava briefly was strange) and I was holding out for Tyler to recover and return someday. I am not interested in Nikolas #5 or 6.
    • AlwaysAMC - Your posts are a crack up; they make me laugh.  Thanks.  I especially like how detailed you get enthused about something, and how you curtly and flippantly you reject that which you find subpar.  LOL.   What's great about Annie is her increasing rooting value as time goes on.   I often wanted Annie to be victorious.  Watros infuses her with an energy and a vulnerability that really works, even at times when neither should. Soap viewers often remember and talk about the Big Moments, which is fine, but what I also find really interesting is the 1-2 week time frame that follows the Big Moment.  Later, there are scenes between Annie and Rick involving a trip to the hospital (no way am I telling you why and what happens - hopefully no one does) that I think are as well done as the Big Moment.  Astonishing stuff. Oh..and to reiterate...I ain't telling you sh*t.  You'll just have to suffer!  Ain't anticipation grand?  LOL.
    • @alwaysAMC Glad you made it to the soft rock theme. I share your disgust for the Gilly story, as many viewers did. Gilly was never a big character, but she was a part of why the early '90s feel real and different for GL, and she deserved a much better exit. This was also the last worthwhile role Amelia Marshall had on daytime (I don't even know if Passions fans would disagree). This was also Petronia Paley's only major chance at story and as someone who always appreciated her work, I'm sorry it did not go better for her. And I liked Charles Ewing a great deal on Loving, so I was even more unhappy with how they treated Griffin. It's a deeply offensive role, in many ways.  As for slapping, you may enjoy this, if you are able to find anything onscreen underneath all the ham. It really goes into hysteria in the second clip. As a bonus, you also get a quick glimpse of why the Billy and Mindy recasts were not accepted by viewers. One positive I will say about this clip is that it's one of the few times I remember the show making clear that Roger was able to defend himself if he had to do so.

    • ER Season 15 (first-ish time) BUFFY Season 3 (First time)
    • Probably less than a NBC or ABC soap. There were occasionally slaps. Women slapped men. And parents occasionally slapped their children. There was a period when Mindy and Roxie would fight. But slaps between women were few and far between. The only one between women I can really recall is Vanessa slapping Nadine. There was once where Bea Reardon almost slapped Vanessa, but she didn't. There are probably more, but in general, I always thought CBS soaps (aside from B&B, which used to love Stephanie slapping Brooke) shied away slapping, sort of the way they limited "hell"s and "damn"s to so many per week.

My favorite moments are with Erika and then Robin and Tim Stickney around 7/8 minutes. There are also little yellow bumper moments with the crew, which I enjoy more than the real ones.  There's also a music video at the end to I Will Survive, with Linda Dano and JFP having a cameo (they certainly do know how to survive). Also a fun bit with a frazzled crew member showing cards with the names of every EP she presumably worked for at the show (or maybe just every EP, period).
