I started re-watching it last month as it approached it's 60th anniversary (September 15th, 1964) and it really is an excellent show that's both fairly fast-paced without really feeling rushed either. I'm at the winter of 1964/65 now and I think the way they transformed that backlot with the fake snow is amazing. It's a shame of seldom we see this sort of thing even in prime time these days.

Thanks @DRW50 love reading anything of this sort.

I dip into PP every so often. Now up to the Rachel Welles story.Pleased that Dorothy Malone is getting more airtime but really they had too much story to fit into 2 30 min eps  a week.

Um, would it be a good idea for a Peyton Place reboot to include a new version of the Kim Schuster character that Kimberly Beck played during the 1965-66 period?

No.

If you click on the link you will also find some info on how the show was one of several shows banned in Slovenia due to corrupting American influence.
