Members DRW50
Absolutely. It's just that without him and Cat I feel like the heart of the Starks, and therefore a basic tenet of the show, is gone. It's really just Jon know, and I am a big fan of Jon's (I think he and Kit get a lot of crap), I still miss Robb.
Members ThePrinceOfSunspear
Yep. He's the one we're told to root for and will ultimately prevail because he has the just cause...except that he doesn't. And that I think is why it's so utterly devastating when he's completely removed from the game... And I agree re him and Theon. It's funn the pictures of Alfie Allen in real life are very hit or miss IMO but in the show he looks absolutely amazing. I can buy him as a spoilt prince who truly believes that he can sleep with any girl or guy.

Members Vee
Gwendoline Christie is rumored to be playing the baddie in Star Wars. May have been the role initially intended for Benedict Cumberbatch.
Members Vee
Today is the GOT panel at Comicon, so before the impending deluge here is a brief round-up of a couple new recent things. Vulture on alleged plans for Season 5 filming, etc. Not really spoilerish, as I avoid those like the plague. Myrcella is rumored to be aged up. Whale Rider star Keisha Castle-Hughes and Tania Raymonde, who most know as Michael Emerson's adopted daughter on Lost but who I know best from a guest spot on Malcolm in the Middle many years ago, are both apparently up for roles as one or several of Oberyn Martell's daughters. George R.R. Martin writes back to a 13-year-old fan who wants to help save the wolves. In other news, Arya Stark must add another name to her list of death: Maisie Williams is not happy with British Airways. Members DRW50
One of the actors on Supernatural blasts airlines all the time on Twitter and at one point even put an employee's face on his Twitter (which someone must have told him was a shitty thing to do, as he deleted it fairly quickly). Maisie was restrained in comparison. Still surprised me though. Very kind of GRRM. I do wonder how many people have more of an appreciation for wolves now because of this show. The only thing that surprises me in the casting roundup is if

Members quartermainefan
Not a very impressive line up for that con. I am hardpressed to name which characters most of them play. I hope there will be a good panel at San Diego this week.
Members DRW50
Really? I think Shae and Hodor are fairly prominent characters. (or were) This is more of the circuit. SDCC will have the big names.
Members Vee
Bleeding Cool is running a report from Comicon where Sam Raimi has allegedly said they've taken meetings with Maisie Williams to play the female lead (Ellie) in the film adaptation of the hit video game The Last of Us. Which I have been meaning to play for ages. In, uh, other Stark kids news, I guess Isaac Hempstead-Wright is out promoting his animated film The Boxtrolls. Members Vee
New castmembers unveiled at Comicon. Keisha Castle-Hughes (Whale Rider) as Obara Sand. The incredible Alexander Siddig (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Syriana, etc.) as Doran Martell. The great Jonathan Pryce (Brazil, etc) as "the High Sparrow". Nell Tiger Free as the new Myrcella Baratheon, who is More at the link. Edited July 25, 2014 by Vee
