Fish totally topped. I can see Kyle wanting to ease him into teh man!sex without poppin' his cherry, and plus, whenever I see gay afterglow in the movies, I always assume that the outer spoon did the topping.

Ease him? Fish used to come to him for drunk gay sex ALL the time--which basically makes him a complete bottom :P

If Ford is going to give Markko a significant story then I can't object. I presumed his return was connected to David Vickers until he mentioned he was Markko's teacher.

Ugh, what I most fear about Destiny is when/if she actually DOES get a little love interest.

Perhaps Delfina has a little brother or nephew.

The problem is--there's no story here. He's, arguably, more superficially hot than Marko, but not by much, he's arrogant, has been a jerk repeatedly... A 15 year old girl might go for that--someone with the smarts we've seen Langston have never would. It's forced, fake, awful drama and there are so many other story avenues they could go with her character (hell, has she even dealt with her grief for more than 2 episodes?) She looks at him the way a girl might look at a fireman calander, and Markog ets jealous and... Why is this a soap story?

I doubt they would be any different than the tiresome Starr and Jack we have now, except, given the big step backwards all the soaps have done in terms of diversity, they might not even be around, or Jack may not have ever been born.

I have pondered the same points, it just would have been nice to have *seen* them, y'know? I'm just musing, being all soap heroine who goes to heaven and meets her miscarried/aborted babies all growed up.

Seriously though, I don't think I will EVER get over the Mia/Kassie thing, and Lord knows I've tried. I appreciate how later regimes have put a funny little bandaid on it by having Kassie flash back to her Mia self, that I love. But wow, it's still just so crazy to me. What if Ellen Holly had been recast with a dark-skinned actress, or a white woman? This isn't Batman, I don't care if Catwoman goes from Julie Newmar to Eartha Kitt, or even a play with color blind casting, but on a soap??

Ford hits on Layla briefly causing problems for Cayla but ends up staying with them & Fish leading to him causing problems with Kish too.

Rachel becomes Sky's confidant which will not make Greg too happy.

Destiny & Shaun get to comfort each other about their love lives.

That's it.

 And daytime's black box lives on.

Ugh, what I most fear about Destiny is when/if she actually DOES get a little love interest. If it's a cute white kid, okay, good for her, who needs Matt, but, "Why she always gotta be wif a scrawny lil' white boy?? " Then, if it's a black boy, "Well see, that's how it should be, look how it all worked out when she got with somebody of her own kind. " And then if it's an asian, latin, pacific islander, or whatever else boy, it's going to be, "DAMN, what's wrong with a black boy!? Is this show DETERMINED not to bring on a young black guy, Destiny or otherwise?? "

It's really a damned if you do, damned if you don't type scenario here. All of these things *shouldn't* matter, but, uh, they kinda do... to many people, especially the oft neglected large black fanbase. Messages are sent whether we are aware of it or not, even if "race doesn't matter" to you, the often subtle implications of race do not go unnoticed to many of us in the real world. At first I thought that if things actually worked out with Destiny and Matt and they became a couple for a while before breaking up in a traditional soapy way, things would be easier. But not really. There's really no easy way to broach this. I still think it would have helped *a little* if little Jack had this mad crush on Destiny, kind of a Dee and Little Earl-type thing.

There's Jack and there's also Shane Morasco.

Ford-related from previous spoiler:

I'm sorry, but Cristian would whoop Ford's little punk ass, I see no threat there, [Viki]A-TALL[/Viki]. See, right there you can tell that they're stretching it with this guy. Not that Layla and Cris don't need a little *something* to make them more interesting, but this is not the way.

That recast never should've happened and the fact that people still talk about it shows why. Blair's ethnicity was actually a part of the character to erase that made her a new character.

Please don't give us a Shane storyline--even within five years. Ugh

He's the only other age appropiate male option on the show that doesn't call for bringing in another new character.

Ugh that's almost worse than him being a deterent to Marko and Langston. Carl says when he was on the show last there was interest in the character on here--I alwyas felt he was a pretty day player. I have NO idea why he's been brought back

If he's recast I could buy that I guess--except for seeing Gigi as the mom would be hard to take.

Yes, but the main difference is Blair didn't know about the dead baby lie. Tea has always known Todd's worst and loved him for it. She loved him even more after he punched her in the face. I think in her head, her staying with him after he was abusive to her showed everyone what a noble person she was, and that if she stayed with him, she could eventually "fix" him.

That's one of the many reasons this reunion seems so flat to me. I don't think Tea would ever be interested in a Todd who didn't constantly treat her like crap. As soon as he started in about her being his soulmate, I think she would have found some new monster to try to tame.

I don't think we're disagreeing, except that I like Tea and once found her story with Todd and her (twisted) reasons for trying to make it work with him compelling. You don't, but that's fine with me, and it's a moot point anyway because we've long since passed the point where I find it plausible/palatable that she would keep trying to make it work with him.

As you said, the way Todd and Tea are being presented now is not consistent with her history. I'm not disputing that. I think it speaks to the fact that the show is not invested in Tea as a character, just as a cookie cutter love interest for Todd, the hot rapist. Blair, Tea, or Marty will do. I just don't want to see that, no matter who is playing the role of Todd's doormat in today's episode. The character is more ludicrous than Mitch Lawrence at this point, and more offensive because we're actually supposed to root for him.

Guessing here. If he isn't working for Mitch to get at Dorian, did anyone think about Natalie? Jared is dead now and she's not matched up.
