December 22, 200520 yr Member And what's wrong with "Magic" and Olivia Newton-John?!? Olivia is fabulous! Apparently, my life theme is "Right Here Waiting" by Richard Marx. LOL! Have you seen Xanadu?
December 22, 200520 yr Member LOL! Have you seen Xanadu? Yes, I have. I own both the soundtrack and the DVD. It's one of my favorite bad movies of all time and the song "Xanadu" could very easily be considered my favorite song of all-time. I have multiple sites on the net concerning the movie bookmarked on my computer and I also am a member of the Xanadu fanlisting (one of the very few fanlistings I belong to).
December 22, 200520 yr Member Kenny, this is an excellent idea for a thread! I loved reading everybody's responses so far. The number #1 song on the day/week I was born was "Funkytown" by Lipps, Inc. However, I must state that I really do not care for this song. I mean, it's an OK song, but it is hardly one of the songs I love. Regarding birthdays, I just occurred to me that it might also be interesting to list which song was #1 on the day/week that each of the following soaps debuted: (Note that I don't know the #1 songs when SFT, LOL, GL, and TSS debuted, since all of these soaps pre-date rock and roll.) ATWT & TEON (April 2, 1956): Poor People of Paris--Les Baxter GH & The Doctors (April 1, 1963): He's So Fine--The Chiffons AW (May 4, 1964): Hello, Dolly!--Louis Armstrong DOOL (November 8, 1965): Get Off My Cloud--The Rolling Stones OLTL (July 15, 1968): Grazing in the Grass--Hugh Masakela AMC (January 5, 1970): Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head--B.J. TSS (February 8, 1974): Love's Theme--The Love Unlimited Orchestra Somerset (December 31, 1976): Tonight's the Night (Gonna Be Alright)--Rod Stewart LOL (February 1, 1980): Rock with You--Michael Jackson The Doctors & Texas (December 31, 1982): Maneater--Daryl Hall & John Oates TEON (December 28, 1984): Like a Virgin--Madonna SFT (December 26, 1986): Walk Like an Egyptian--The Bangles Capitol (March 20, 1987): Lean on Me--Club Nouveau RH (January 12, 1989): My Prerogative--Bobby Brown Generations (January 25, 1991): The First Time--Surface SaBa (January 15, 1993): I Will Always Love You--Whitney Houston Loving (November 10, 1995): Fantasy--Mariah Carey The City (March 23, 1997): Can't Nobody Hold Me Down--Puff Daddy featuring Mase AW (June 25, 1999): If You Had My Love--Jennifer Lopez SuBe (December 31, 1999): Smooth--Santana featuring Rob Thomas

December 23, 200520 yr Author Member "DOOL (November 8, 1965): Get Off My Cloud--The Rolling Stones" Well now, how fitting.
December 23, 200520 yr Member "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" by Leo Sayer. Gotta love 1977. Every Breath You Take - The Police Lucky!!! I love that song!!
December 24, 200520 yr Member Time After Time By Cyndi Lauper. Kind of weird to think of that playing on every radio station in heavy rotation, especially now that I am such a VH1 Classic freak. In the UK, the #1 song was "Wake Me Up Before You GoGo" by Wham!
