Yes, I have. I own both the soundtrack and the DVD. It's one of my favorite bad movies of all time and the song "Xanadu" could very easily be considered my favorite song of all-time. I have multiple sites on the net concerning the movie bookmarked on my computer and I also am a member of the Xanadu fanlisting (one of the very few fanlistings I belong to).

Kenny, this is an excellent idea for a thread! I loved reading everybody's responses so far.

The number #1 song on the day/week I was born was "Funkytown" by Lipps, Inc. However, I must state that I really do not care for this song. I mean, it's an OK song, but it is hardly one of the songs I love.

Regarding birthdays, I just occurred to me that it might also be interesting to list which song was #1 on the day/week that each of the following soaps debuted: (Note that I don't know the #1 songs when SFT, LOL, GL, and TSS debuted, since all of these soaps pre-date rock and roll.)

ATWT & TEON (April 2, 1956): Poor People of Paris--Les Baxter

GH & The Doctors (April 1, 1963): He's So Fine--The Chiffons

AW (May 4, 1964): Hello, Dolly!--Louis Armstrong

DOOL (November 8, 1965): Get Off My Cloud--The Rolling Stones

OLTL (July 15, 1968): Grazing in the Grass--Hugh Masakela

Somerset (March 30, 1970): Bridge Over Troubled Water--Simon & Garfunkel

Y&R (March 26, 1973): Killing Me Softly with His Song--Roberta Flack

RH (July 7, 1975): Love Will Keep Us Together--The Captain & Tennille

Texas (August 4, 1980): Magic--Olivia Newton-John

Capitol (March 26, 1982): I Love Rock 'n' Roll--Joan Jett & the Blackhearts

Loving (June 26, 1983): Flashdance...What a Feeling--Irene Cara

SaBa (July 30, 1984): When Doves Cry--Prince

B&B (March 23, 1987): Lean on Me--Club Nouveau

Generations (March 27, 1989): Eternal Flame--The Bangles

The City (November 13, 1995): Fantasy--Mariah Carey

SuBe (January 6, 1997): Un-Break My Heart--Toni Braxton

PC (June 1, 1997): MMMBop--Hanson

Passions (July 5, 1999): If You Had My Love--Jennifer Lopez

On a sadder note, here are the #1 songs on the day/week that each of the following soaps aired their last episode: (Note that I don't know what song was #1 when PC aired its last episode, since "The 'Billboard' Book of #1 Hits" stops before the day PC last aired.)

TSS (February 8, 1974): Love's Theme--The Love Unlimited Orchestra

Somerset (December 31, 1976): Tonight's the Night (Gonna Be Alright)--Rod Stewart

LOL (February 1, 1980): Rock with You--Michael Jackson

The Doctors & Texas (December 31, 1982): Maneater--Daryl Hall & John Oates

TEON (December 28, 1984): Like a Virgin--Madonna

SFT (December 26, 1986): Walk Like an Egyptian--The Bangles

Capitol (March 20, 1987): Lean on Me--Club Nouveau

RH (January 12, 1989): My Prerogative--Bobby Brown
