Why doesn't anyone on soaps ever get a flu shot??

I didn't even realize people got the flu on soaps.

Lily on Y&R will probably come down with the H1N1 and have it be blamed on her weakened immune system while she faces a life or death crisis.

does anyone really care?

Getting the flu shot is an important social issue that the soaps can do easily without saying a word. Film a scene front of a flu awareness poster on a hospital wall and show nurses and doctors using hand sanitizer at the hospital. The audience will the get the message without a huge PSA.
