Good. If the writers are so keen on destroying the entire show, then at least get that chick out.

As for Vail, I want to believe that she's safe, but then again you never know. To be fair, there's almost nothing to like about the character, so... their troubles with her won't disappear if they recast.

We've been hearing rumors of Sursok's demise for over six months now so you may be right; I can't wait for some of these to come to fruition so that I/we can stop getting our hopes up about Sursok leaving... finally! Then there are others who have been told by their sources that they want Amelia out as Victoria.

So now you have issues with straight to DVD and Nickelodeon movies? What exactly do you enjoy in your life that you don't always have to tear down or make snarky remarks about?

I'm sure there's plenty of actors out there that would kill to have the success she's had, straight to DVD or not. Work is work.

Since when do you care what I like or don't like? If you don't like my posts, don't read them, simple as that.

I hardly ever see you post about this show, other than to reply to something someone else has said. You don't know my history with this show and how long I've been posting about it.

I'm sure most actors aim for more than daytime, straight to DVD movies, and acting on productions geared towards 8-13 year olds too...

Someone mentioned something before my post about Tammin thinking she'd be a big star, I simply made a joke about it. How convenient of you to overlook that.

This NEEDS to be true. Keep Tammin and get rid of one of the REAL trouble spots. The role of Heather deserves better than the walking definition of 'hair model'.

Memo to Maria: Jennifer Finnigan is currently out of work...

Honestly, Heather is hardly written for other than to be a complete fool and bitch to everyone. She could easily be written out, I don't know how much a recast would help that particular role.

At least we had years with Colleen, the majority of written storylines and airtime being with two prior actresses who seemed more well-received than this one. But if they must pare down the cast, then Colleen could easily be sent to New York to live with Traci. I don't want this rumoured death of the character to be true, but I am not a Tammin fan and I find her to be completely miscast in this role. I would not be against a recasting.

Lyndsy Fonseca was more well-received than Tammin because she was on the show longer and was part of the mega-popular JT/Colleen pairing.

I don't believe Adrianne Leon was more popular. During her tenure there was a lot of viewer dissatisfaction and many wanted Lyndsy back. She grew a fan base later in her stint because of the Colleen/Adrian pairing. It is believed by many that Cane/Lily fans are not the majority, but the 'vocal minority' - and IMO, that is what 'Cadrian' fans were as well.

    • We don't know whether Maurice Johnson chose to leave, if he was let go, etc. We don't know the circumstances concerning the Ted recast. But it's two very different situations of a recast, so the comparison between the two is actually not as valid as one may think. There are plenty other comparisons that would be more fair. Keith D. Robinson wasn't there on the day after Johnson exited; sure, there was a one-day gap, but it wasn't the next day. And, at that, Johnson was even in the opening credits the day prior to Robinson's debut. Obviously, any recast that has a significant period of time between one actor's exit and another's entrance is going to be different if it's a same-week/next week/next few days replacement.
    • Yeah I’m one of the few, and trust me I hate Leo, but I didn’t mind his scenes at all today especially his ones with Jack. Another beat, while I know most of us hate it, that needed to be played regarding John’s death.
    • Again, as explained multiple times, they didn't have an overnight set crew post-COVID, so it was easier to keep up certain sets permanently, and those were the community lots. And the fact we got the return of the O.G. Newman Ranch set (albeit updated), the Abbott remodel and yes, even Billy's new home set, is an amazing accomplishment. And we've seen other sets updated over time, from Crimson Lights to Sharon's cottage and the return of the tack house (with some structural updates). Comparing 2020/2021 versus now is a major upgrade in sets and set uses. Whereas, DAYS is pretty much still in the same predicament it's been in for years, and it's dire. Using community sets is easy; no offence, but you're the one complaining about wanting more community sets on Beyond the Gates, whereas The Young and the Restless has plenty: Crimson Lights, the original Genoa City Athletic Club (which returned, replacing the Grand Phoenix, which everyone bitched and complained about wanting the GCAC back instead), Society, the Jazz Lounge (via the GCAC) and even Chancellor Park. What does DAYS have? A smaller Horton Town Square, the Brady Pub and what... the poorly-lit bar? And not a single home set on Y&R is repeated; meanwhile, Marlena and Abe have the same "penthouse" set (which is a living room with a fireplace and a hallway that leads nowhere). Kayla and Marlena appear to have the same office set, and it's then re-used in altered form for Jada's office at the Salem PD. The Kiriakis mansion is reduced to a dated shoebox; I'm honestly surprised we somehow got a remodeled DiMera mansion (and were taken out of their own dated shoebox set). You've got people living in the Salem Inn (in repeated hotel rooms, with potential slight differences). The comparison between DAYS versus Y&R is comical. Not to mention, judging from recent episodes, Y&R now has a JIB, whereas it took DAYS about a year into their run on Peacock to [finally] get their cameras/production value updated. And while it's miles better than it was before, it's still not one hundred percent. It's very obvious which soap has a budget, and DAYS is not it. And I've been watching DAYS lately... we get maybe three or four sets. That's about it. So that, compared to what you call "six or seven" for Y&R... it shows. Not to mention, the quality of the sets is not even a comparison, either. Both the new Newman Ranch and the Abbott remodel look ten times more quality in comparison to the DiMera mansion remodel.
    • My only memory is that she shaded Ed Scott for contributing to her rift with Melody. I can't recall her naming anyone else. Who else did she name? I wish in those memoirs the actors would talk more about their storylines, actors they worked with etc.
    • Totally different scenario. Wayne chose to leave, the character was killed off. Many months later,John appeared-plastic surgery was mentioned , he had amnesia etc. It wasn't like Drake was on the day after Wayne left. I'm still adjusting to Nu Ted .He doesn't have the physicality/presence of Maurice. And if they weren't happy with the actor nor bringing it, Martin, Derek and Tomas would be out also.
    • They've added Billy's house. But we don't see 6 or seven sets per episode. Instead it's CL,GCAC,Society and Jazz Lounge everyday and if we're lucky a home or office set. So many characters don't have a home or workplace. And I think they could be clever and use a basic set as an office for different characters. eg hide a window with a bookcase, move a new desk to a different position, new furniture, artwork etc . But I guess that requires a crew and that isn't in the budget.
    • Natalia is back. GH is becoming ff material once again. It's a shame they can't keep up the momentum they had two weeks ago. Lucky is a loser and so is Frank.
    • I wouldn't say Y&R has the smallest budget, nor would I say DAYS has more sets. Y&R has been adding more sets⏤which is great, given their lack of an overnight set crew⏤and they're not the same set re-dressed as something else (like DAYS historically has been doing for years).
    • That’s exactly it. Entire episodes are just two people sitting in a restaurant yammering on about CEO’s or getting coffee in the middle of the night at the always empty Crimson Lights. Where did I say anything that’s wrong?
    • Anita got over being sad and guilty like whiplash. I guess she just needed a Vernon pep talk. Yeah I’m sorry I don’t see the chemistry with nu-Ted and Nicole at all. When Maurice was in the role you could truly feel they loved each other so much and couldn’t keep their hands off each other. I just don’t see this meek at portrayal giving any sort of chemistry. Couldn’t have said it better myself. I wonder how people felt in the 80’s when Drake replaced Wayne as Roman.
