LOL. Oy vey.

Yeah, for sure. I am always surprised whenever anyone dies unless they are in the hospital for a long time. He certainly wasn't the healthiest guy on the planet.
Okay, so where's marlenadlc? Someone is speaking ill of the late Jim Reilly again!

I'm not sure if there were inter-office politics at play, or if he was handcuffed creatively. What's nice is that the DAYS writers seem to have autonomy in the writing department. There seems to be less network interference in soaps right now. Maybe James used the religious angle … [sighs] I don't know; Passions became a mess in the end.
Jim Reilly(creator, Head-Writer, and consulting producer) was met with network interference?!

Galen looks great at 39. I thought he was much younger. I never thought he was a strong actor. He looks totally hispanic/latino and thats why he gets cast in them. Love the trashy talk about Passions and Reilly...LOL.

Where is Toups?..lol

That was not nice at all, IMO. Thank God Galen is healthy and strong.

As for his other comments on "Passions," I pretty much agree with him. And no, I'm not pissed at Galen.

Meh, it's his opinion. I'm not going to dislike anyone who doesn't like Passions or Reilly. Sure maybe some of the stuff he said, rubbed me the wrong way, but I'm not going to hate on the guy. Galen had many opportunities to leave but decided to stay for 9 years, and it certainly wasn't the material that made him stay. It's not like he didn't know what he signed up for.

I don't see what was so wrong with commenting that Reilly was not the healthiest guy in the world. GG looks like a health nut who eats right and exercises almost to the point of religion, and from my experience at the gym that's sometimes how the ultra in shape look at people : Are they healthy or not. He eats oatmeal for breakfast and watches you eat the egg mcmuffin, and he just sees cholesterol and calories you are ingesting.

Agreed. And while Passions was on the air, he was always very professional and respectful of his employers and the writers/producers. I thought what he said was about as diplomatic as he could possibly be. And in terms of the line about JER's health - he didn't exaggerate, or say anything personal. JER wasn't the healthiest guy on the planet. That's not really opinion. It's the truth.

We've seen a lot of people really put their foot in their mouths, but I thought GG expressed his opinion without being disrespectful or rude. Some may not agree with him, but he didn't word it in any way that made me think any less of him.

Actually, I didn't find it to be as bad as I had expected. I guess he excused himself to the bathroom before this interview.

Okay, so where's marlenadlc? Someone is speaking ill of the late Jim Reilly again!

Marlena DLC says:

Is someone paging moi? Jim died months and months ago; I have no objection to what anyone says about him now It felt callous of you all to say nasty things when he had been dead only a week or two. Or of anyone who has just died. Have you ever had a parent, relative or good friend who has just passed away? You'd see how harsh words feel then.

As far as Galen--he says what he thinks. When I met him at the 2000 Emmys, he started screaming at me because I had written in my SOW column that when he started work on Passions in 1999 he didn't how to act. He was so astonishingly beautiful to look at in person(those eyelashes!) I got over it quickly. And he learned how to act eventually and is doing quite well now, no?

What's the difference if it was a week or two before he died and now? I mean, he's still dead...my parent would still be dead, harsh words or no harsh words.

Do you subscribe to the Corday's "Dream" way of thinking too? "That was then, this is now"?
