July 6, 200916 yr Member See, with Muhney now playing him, I don't see him as this wacko who cannot control what he does. He is very manipulative, controlling, calculated. It makes zero sense to me. I can completely see the haste in writing, the desperate conquest for SHOCK! value... Well, shock is what you remember, what stays with you. I STILL remember that episode from 30 years ago with Dickson performing that emergency tracheotomy. I remember that like is was yesterday. I suppose it had a purpose other than shock value... as it was really in vogue at the time to learn the Heimlich Maneuver, but no show ever told you what to do if it DIDN'T work. But other than that, what did that scene teach us, except to not argue with Brenda Dickson while eating a fried chicken leg.

July 6, 200916 yr Member Errol, Any hints as to if there is finally a kiss? I know that Nelson said there was never a kiss involved with his initial report but I was still hoping we would get one. According to these pictures it looks like just a hug.

Fake, but kisses...you have to scroll to the right. Poor Adam. Poor Rafe.

July 6, 200916 yr Member Thank you! I see Hollywood kisses! Fake, but kisses...you have to scroll to the right. Poor Adam. Poor Rafe. I did scroll to the right. All I saw was hugs. If they are fake kisses then why? I thought Engen was the one who quit because he didn't want to do the kiss. Why fake a kiss if both actors were into it? Something still doesn't add up in all this mess.
July 7, 200916 yr Member Evidently CBS wanted a kiss between Rafe and Adam but Y&R didn't. Here's stuff from the latest Nelson Ratings: Adam must be killer in bed if a brief roll in the hay made Rafe throw his aunt, Estella, under the bus! Although there was no kiss (CBS wanted it, but Y&R decided against it at the last minute, report my moles), Adam seductively placing his thumb on Rafe’s lips was pretty hot and a great alternative. Yani Gellman is criminally miscast in the role of Rafe. Would it have killed Gellman to show some attraction to Adam before they had str8-bait sex? Firstly, the newcomer is barely a young adult, and he shares no chemistry with anyone on the canvas, let alone Muhney. Memo to Ma Bell: Please recast an adult in this pivotal role before it’s too late. Actor extraordinaire Michael Muhney is doing all the heavy lifting in this unconventional romance/affair and it’s distracting me from the fine writing. I agree with him about Yani. I am just not seeing any growth in him as an actor at all. He is the weak point in this story so far.

July 7, 200916 yr Member I don't see how Yani Gellman can have growth when he barely has a character to play. Rafe is a nobody. We know almost nothing about what makes him as a person or what he wants. I don't think Muhney has been any more believable, but he's the one who is supposed to be the amazing recast for the evil Chris Engen, so he gets a pass. The hair people chose to give him the style which makes him look so young, and which made the scene where Adam propositioned him seem creepy. Edited July 7, 200916 yr by CarlD2
