July 5, 200916 yr Member WELL.... for a little light fun.... many of us have speculated whether in the Adam/Rafe tryst, Rafe was the "giver" or the "reciever". IT SEEMS that if Rafe were versatile, Yani has had PLENTY of trining for the role either way! (These are almost too good to be true) / -1 Why so serious??? ETA: Both Gellman and Muhney are martial arts fans/practitioners. That may give them something common to talk about, to bond as actors off screen. Maybe their relationship, as it develops on screen, can be fuller because of it. I hope there are layers, where Adam's loathing is tinged with regret...and maybe even a shocking spot of desire. July 6, 200916 yr Member Check out the last 20 seconds of this clip. while Walton, Cast, Cooper, even Goffard and Khalil are trying to sell this nonsensical and crappy storyline, in comes Thom Bierdz who thinks he's doing some parody on soap acting. It's F.UCKING HILARIOUS, he totally throws everything off in his one line. If his bad acting is all I can take from this absurd storyline, well, at least I get something to laugh at, even if it's not intentional from the show. He is right up there on Charity Remahr/Lindsay Heartly/Erin Hershey Presley/Ron Moss levels. You know what I don't get? It seems to me that certain posters are way more generous to this show than with other soaps they watch or have watched. Like they'll excuse big holes in the storylines on Y&R, and say they're watching for the scenes and individual episodes or whatever, yet they aren't as kind to others shows. I may be wrong, but do some really want to like this show that badly? I hate judging soaps in comparison to others. Y&R by itself is doing exactly what all the other soaps are being accused of, yet it somehow gets a free pass from some. I don't get it, and I ever will. people feel differetly about evey show. some have a deeper connection to Y&R, etc... but i agree. I thought TSJ was bad. Kassie DePaiva is one of the only reasons I'm sticking with OLTL. People still want to believe Y&R is going to save daytime. I can understand that. Hogan also tends to be seen as a savior when he joins a soap, so that attitude is also out there. Add in the fawning coverage MAB has gotten, and it makes sense. I have no idea why. He ruined ATWT. He almost killed Days. now Y&R.... So that Mac and Billy scene where they almost made love after 10 tears or whatever got me thinking. If they are to be a viable couple the first time they make love needs to be special and NOT at the damn GCAC! We need some ROMANTIC build up. Not just "let's go have sex! Damn it, phones ringing, [!@#$%^&*] ya later!" However, I fear/KNOW this build-up will not happen by any means because Hogan Sheffer has proven he cannot to so in the past. The best two examples are from when he wrote DOOL. Shawn/Belle and Nick/Chelsea. Shawn and Belle's first time making love and REMEMBERING it was a total failure. And Nick/Chelsea's first time, a couple that was Sheffer's SOLE creation was written as being this terrible disgusting experience. How are you supposed to root for a couple after that? Billy/Mac should be told as lovers having an affair. A hot passionate i love you but i cant be with you but i dont want to live without you affair. Kind of like Belle/Philip on Days
July 6, 200916 yr Member I'm glad other people didn't like Erin Hershey Presley. Allison/Rafe drove me away from PC. I still can't believe they trashed Allison/Jamal, the only pairing that made her tolerable. Poor Kiko Ellsworth. When he was cast on GH I didn't even bother to be happy because they don't care about black people. Ronn Moss looks so Freddie Mercury in that photo. I have no idea why. He ruined ATWT. He almost killed Days. now Y&R.... The soap press built Hogan up so much back when he was at ATWT, it's never completely gone away. Any good work on his soaps tends to be credited to him, yet there's always someone else to blame when a show he's on nosedives. I thought this time would be better because he was one of three headwriters but the exact same stuff he pulled at ATWT and DAYS is back again. I think the only soap he could fit in at is a show which is wired for his level. GH - the show is all about shock value, all about machismo types with very little conscience, all about degrading women, all about having no respect for history. Do any of the networks do writer training programs now? Or is that gone?
July 6, 200916 yr Member Billy/Mac should be told as lovers having an affair. A hot passionate i love you but i cant be with you but i dont want to live without you affair. Kind of like Belle/Philip on Days You'll see Mac's expression at the end of today's episode and it will be Sharon in the ridiculous quad situation all over again. More flip-flopping from these people, I guarantee it.
